This has probably already been done...but there are a few posters I disagree with almost all the time...but I respect them for their analysis and their passion tempered with respect.

    The 2 most notable are:

    1) Jeff
    2) Rocketman95

    How about all of you?

Not a nice joke Nomar. Let's be serious about this.

BTW...I'd like to add Batman Jones to my list. He has his moments...but seems to come back to the fold after a bit.

Thanks Refman, but no need when it comes to Kid Hobbit. He's not worth your time. Hell, he's barely worth mine.

FART, FART, DUMBASS, EAT A BAG OF DICKS, I'M DRUNK, YOU'RE DUMB, I'M NOMAR!!! DON'T LIKE IT? EAT MY ASS! I'M IN COLLEGE AND I'M DRUNK AND I'M A HOBBIT! YOU'RE DUMB!

Yeah, I love me some Nomar.

    My list:

Ref (likeable moderate, more moderate than right wing IMO), Max (same), giddyup (check the sig, I likes a crusader). Also Jeff. I like the hell out of him, but he's a moderate too.

Jorge is kinda mellowed out and isn't quite tha a-hole that he once was (boo).

MB was cool with me until he started to argue with me about racial issues in Texas, from Canada!

All in all I learn a lot from you bastards.

    Politics : barf. :D

But among the people I see "arguing" about it on occasion, the ones I still like are :

    Major
    Rocketman95
    Jeff
MadMax (this guy just can't be a lawyer... lol)
Mango (I love to read cyborgs talk about politics)
    FranchiseBlade (I think...)

There are probably others, but those are the ones that immediately came to mind.

I'm sure there are many more that I can't think of this early, but these three rock.

I actually lose respect for anyone's intellectual capacity who hangs out on a basketball BBS to debate politics. :p

You know, I can't imagine not "respecting" someone I only know through what they post here. Maybe I don't take it seriously enough. I sure hope I'm not judged by what I write here! (only the funny stuff...but wait, I'm not funny) Sorry to derail the thread.

I agree with TheFreak. I don't participate in that many political threads, but when I do it seems to me people are mostly respectful of one another around here. I've gotten irritated here and there, but I like reading opinions different from mine, especially when there are thoughtful arguments presented with them. I've learned quite a bit. Here, let me demonstrate: RESPECT GIVEN!

I've known about 4 or 5 lawyers in my life and they all seemed such remote humans. Not as in stuck up, but as in... they existed on another plane from the rest of humanity - they just weren't with the rest of us. Maybe I was just unlucky... then of course the profession's stereotype of catering to liars and ambulance-chasers. I've never really bought into the latter... I think lawyers are generally-speaking looked down upon because so many people hate it when they defend an "OJ Simpson" when "he knows he's lying, so how the hell can he defend that clown?!".

As for you specifically, I just never associated a happy-go-lucky, cheerful guy as being a lawyer. I don't know why, but like I said, most of the ones I've run into were either "all business" or always on another plane - the human factor seemed missing. I figured it was law school that did that to them. :D
