BERLIN (Reuters) - A Bavarian village was flooded by liquid pig manure after a tank containing the fertilizer burst, German police said Wednesday.

Sewage rose to 20 inches in the courtyards and streets of Elsa after gushing from the tank, which held some 240,000 litres of pig manure.

"The village was swamped with green-brown liquid and it was pig manure -- the mother-of-all muck," said Rainer Prediger, a police spokesman in the nearby town of Coburg.

speaking of sewage, lately there's been a sewer-like smell emanating from my bathroom and it's not coming from me. :p

i thought maybe one of the pipes broke under the house but wouldn't the toilet stop flushing? anyone got any ideas?

    sorry about the quasi-derailment.

Oh, don't worry about it. All kwik_e_mart ever does is post some random story and then run away.

We could talk about knitting in this thread for all he cares.

Texas City, about 35 miles SE of Houston.

Interestingly enough, there used to be a Boston Market and TWO Schlotzsky's here, but they all got shut down...
