Which former Rocket would most likely help us if we got them back today?

Hypothetical question: Which former Rocket ( or Rockets ) would you bring back today if they were willing to play for us?

I wouldn't mind getting Cato or Mobley back.

Cassell or Horry...These two guys can consistantly hit open jumpers and they play smart basketball.

I'd take Cat Mobley as well, but I'd also take Steve Francis to be our PG because of his ability to shoot the 3 and finish when he drives to the bucket.

There are two more former players who I would take but I don't think either is still playing: Charles Barkely, Otis Thorpe, and Jim Jackson (at least I don't think JJ is still active...) and maybe Eddie Johnson... we badly need a pure perimeter shooter with a quick release...

Oh, wait, we have one in Novak

Johnson nearly helped us beat Utah to make it to a third straight NBA Championship....

I wouldn't take Steve Francis for even Rafer Alston. Ugh. At least Rafer passes properly from time to time and doesn't skip a game for the Super Bowl.

Cat or Franchise. Though neither one is the PG that we need. I wonder how Kenny Thomas would play next to Yao.

Vernon Maxwell and Mario Elie would be huge against guarding Nash, Barbosa, Terry, Harris, and Parker.

As much as Thorpe is the ideal power forward, he doesn't match up well against any of today's big men. Horry would be a huge help against Amare and Dirk.

And of course it would be great to have a scoring point guard like Cassell. Hell, even someone like Kenny Smith who could consistently hit a 3.

Just give me Hakeem. Slap him at PF or C or wherever. Bring Amare in as a man, run his ass out a baby.

obviously we're talkng current players so Mobley is the easy answer for me. Although short term Sam would be very appealing.
