I posted this on another board, but I thought I would ask the question here as well.

For those who watched ball fanatically in the late 80's/early 90's and late 90's/today--which era would you say is more enjoyable and better basketball to watch?

The Kings are pretty much old school and can score and play team ball like they did in the early 90's/late 80's. But for some reason I think the early to mid 90's basketball era was a little more enjoyable to watch--better rivalries--less sloppy ball--and seemed to be a little more team oriented.

    Does anyone agree.

I think teams are becoming more balanced these days--like Mavs, Kings, Spurs, Rockets etc...and with the influx of Europeans the game is changing and becoming more team oriented and balanced (atleast it seems that way compared to the past few years).

What do you all think? Which era do you enjoy more? 90's or 00's and why?

I agree, today the players egos and salaries are getting in the way. Back then you had teams like the Rockets who were unselfish and played quality bball night in night out.

I enjoy the earlier era because right now the quality of play just isn't good. There are too many teams and not enough players, as a result so many players on the floor are just scrubs.

Look at the Lakers. They have Kobe and Shaq, then a couple of good role players, and then a bunch of scrubs.

There are some teams that I would actually want to actively avoid watching, because it would be a waste of money. Denver and Miami are pathetic.

Only a few teams seem to have plenty of talent, on the floor and on the bench. The Kings, Mavs, and Trailbazers come to mind, and they are more fun to watch.
