    Scene A

A car has smashed through the living room window of a house in a quiet suburb. A man with his seatbelt on is in the driver’s seat, slumped over. The windshield is shattered and the car door is shut. In the living room, there are muddy shoeprints, drops of blood and a stain near the sofa. A pizza box is open with pepperoni pizza spilled on the floor. A beer bottle is by the car door, and a hand print of blood – or is it pizza sauce? – is found on the hood.

    Scene B

A young woman has been found dead in an alley behind an old Las Vegas motel. She is sprawled beneath a dumpster overflowing with trash and is wearing a waitress outfit with a nametag that reads “Penny.” There is a tire tread across her abdomen, and a photo of her has been ripped in half and tossed away nearby. No other injuries are visible. Among the trash, a handbag and a cell phone are visible.

    Scene C

A hiker has stumbled across what looks like a human skull sticking out of the ground, with a visible hole in it. It is partially buried by silt and debris. Other bones are scattered underneath the dirt. Among the remains, there are still tattered remnants of a coat and what appears to be a backpack.

The Museum of Natural Science has a new CSI exhibit (opens today) that allows you to play the part of a crime scene investigator, but you have to choose just 1 of the 3 crime scenes. I'm taking my girlfriend but I can't ask her which she would prefer because this is all supposed to be a surprise. I also can't just wait until we get there to ask her because I'm buying the tickets online in case it's a hot ticket and sells out fast tomorrow (opening weekend).

So what's the next best thing? Make a poll on Clutchfans.

    :D

    Thanks.

My girlfriend is a CSI nut. Somehow, she didn't know about this. Thanks for helping me make her day. :)

I like it when they catch people by doing a comparison between the mitten used in the crime and all the mittens manufactured in the 20th century using the website search function of the Federal Database of Mitten Materials and Construction that was initially constructed by the Mitten Crimes wing of the FBI in 1997.

It's really cool when they say, "hmm ... this type of yarn was derived from the wool of a Anorite Yak, and they were only used prior to being placed on the endangered list in 1987. So, this mitten is at least 13 years old. A scan of the FDMMC shows that the Ma's Warm Mittens company of Columbus, OH produced Anorite Yak mittens through their entire production run between 1982 and 1987, but never exported them outside their county. So, the killer must have purchased these mittens in Columbus County between 1982 and 1987 since there is only one set of DNA inside the mittens. Let's do a comparative scan of all credit card purchases in that county for mittens during those years and see what we come up with. No hits? Okay, then lets run a crosscheck of the mitten through the Federal Wal-Mart Database of Ohio Mittens Purchased on Layaway by Character Actors Likely to Portray Murderers in Television Series Based on Crime Labs. Great, there's a hit on the FWDOMPLCALPMTSBCL! Ah-ha! I think we've found our killer! Now, let me put on my sunglasses as the camera man gets a close-up on my face and I step out of frame, and then this case is solved. That's one man who shouldn't have trusted a mitten to keep him from being caught red-handed! Okay ... here I go. Someone play a song by the Who as I leave!"
