I currently have a cell phone with Sprint and a land line with Verizon for $40 and $30/ month respectively. I want to get 2 cell phones with a family plan for my wife and me and cut my land line. Which carrier do you suggest? Thanks.
Obviously, everyone has a different opinion, but I've been with T-mobile for two years, and I have no intention of changing. Yes, the reception can be bad at times; I've heard both Verizon and Sprint have better roaming capabilities, and that the reception doesn't get lost that often. But to KNOW that my bill is around $70 a month with no big surprizes is golden to me. (3000 minute anytime plan)
T-mobile all the way Family Plans: $49.99 400min Unlimited nights, weekends, mobile 2 mobile $69.99 800 min, same as rest $99.99 1600, same as rest
I've got Sprint. You can get a decent plan for $35 on each phone and if you pay another $5 on each phone you get unlimited calling between all Sprint phones. I like the service, I don't get dropped much and customer service fixes any problems that I do have prety quickly. I've never had problems with the service, just the billing once or twice, but I've had Sprint going on 5 years now.
I've been with Sprint and AT&T, and many of my friends have Cingulair. I've found that my AT&T service is far superior to either Sprint or Cingulair. It's a little bit more expensive(For comparable plans, probably $5-$10 more), and Sprint is usually more generous in giving huge rebates, but I am willing to dish out a few more bucks for better service. Of course, it really depends on location...I have heard of people in the New York area who avoid AT&T like the plague, because Cingulair is far superior in that area.
Tmobile, no doubt. Unless you want to get stuck in a two year contract with verizon, and be stuck with a mediocre phone for the duration of the contract. I work with cell phones, and most people complain about sprint's cust. service. Verizon has nice Cust service, but IMO Tmo is the best. ( i guess i am a little partial since I have Tmobile) Also GSM, and a new phone every year is an added bonus
It depends on where you are. Sprint was pretty good in Texas, but it sucks a phatty up here in DC. Price is good though.
Well not 'any' phone, but atleast you have the option of upgrading for a low price. Unlike with Verizon, you are stuck with your phone
Yeah I know... I always thought that was kind of a scam. You can get newer phones now every year where they pay you after rebates. Even some with no rebates. And they're usually much better phones than the stuff you supposedly get for "free" every year under these plans.
Sprint also has some of the most dead spots in an area like Sugarland and most of The Fort Bend Area. Also I know it sux monkey balls up here in VA. Cingular is trying real hard to be a company that is compatible with all phones. GSM, CDMA, TDMA etc etc. O yea if you get Tmobile, be sure to go through Amazon.com. No, I dont get any money or anything, but you will get the best cell phone deal hands down. Also if you go with most any company go through Amazon, great deals. Although if you did go through Tmobile, and decided to go through on their website,. Make sure to tell em that I referred you for this service , 50 bux towards my next bill
anyone heard anything about the new motorola v600 that is coming out? i used to work for cingular and my friends that still do said the phone has pretty much everything. i guess at least until the next best thing comes out.
It is a beast. Plain and simple. Upgraded Version of the v300 It has camera, bluetooth, mms, pretty much everything. Another thing that it has that I haven't seen in others is quad band . Phones are usually dual band, and at the most tri band. This is real intruiging. I dont like the looks that much, but the face plates are very promising. Supposed to hit the markets spring 04
