Well the Rockets definitely look like they're gonna some big man this offseason, who do you think it will/should be?

Here's the list of the big men free agents that we might be looking at:

    Bosh
    Amare
    Boozer
    Lee

These are the 4 that seem to be on our list imo, if u think there are anymore, please mention them as well.
I think we're bound to get a big men this offseason whether thru sign & trade or whatever, and id love to have a caliber guy to play alongside yao and kmart next year.
It should be a fun offseason and interesting to see what we can do next year :)
Please share ur opinions and ideas

Don't think just FAs (in SnT).

    (Also, do not dismiss Haslim.)

as far as a backC is concerned, i still think Gortat is the best, if you want a starter, you will have to give up major pieces of the team which I would not like to see, especially after landry leaves, i don't want to see anyone go, except Anderson, JT, Cook, Temple

agree. he compliments Yao's finesse game with his power game. he can play Center in an uptempo lineup too when Yao sits.

Anderson and JT only. We bought out Cook and Temple signed with SAC.

I want Brian Cook back. Nothing less, nothing more. He's the heart&soul of this team, eeeerr, bench.

    I won't be Bosh.

Amare is sliding physically. Don't think Rockets will move on him.

    David Lee is most realistic

I think Amare is the most realistic and who I would like the most

Bosh is the perfect fit. Amare is probably the worst fit; I believe he would change the whole chemistry of the team. Bosh is a much better guy from what I have read and observed about the two.

If I was Morey I would first look at Jefferson/Rubio trade then Bosh and then Amare.

I have a feeling we will end up with Amare. He's been rumored for years now and that bridge appears to be burned with Phoenix. A sign and trade makes sense as we have picks and expirings to offer.

looking at the teams out there, the best type of lineup imo is a front line that is similar to the lakers

    c-bynum
    pf-odom

    as the primary positions

and gasol interchanging between c/pf (and obviously starting)

i want a gasol type player, someone who can play along side yao, yet can take over at the 5 spot when yao is out/injured. as much as everyone wants to rely on yao, he just isn't that sustainable. lets face it, without yao, we have pretty much zero post presence.

    i wouldn't mind a main rotation of....

    center- yao
pf- hayes (cause he's cheap yet still reliable)

'pau gasol replica' interchanging between the two so we still have post presence and star power. obviously this lineup isn't as lethal as the lakers one, but i think it's something that could work for us.

of course we could just sign a backup c, but im just trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone here. given this history of yao, i think it's quite important to address the issue of who's going to replace him without losing much of what he (yao) brings.

Bosh - I'd be doing cartwheels and changing my religion to Moreyism. Will be willing to give up any number of picks, Brooks, Scola, and contracts. Probably not going to happen though.
Amare/Lee/Boozer - I'd fit them both in the same group. Great on offense, no lick of defense. I'd love it, but still have doubts. I think the Amare trade is available presuming Morey is willing to give up enough.
Cousins - Would be ecstatic, but more so for the future. We'd need to trade up though. But if he drops a few slots, would NOT be Eddie Griffin 2.0.

But unfortunately, he just doesn't "win". We are 6-7 with him playing, 24-22 without him. The guy may be the man, but he's just no a winner anymore. :)

I wouldn't want boozer or Lee they wouldn't help our interior defense, and we get the same type of offensive production from scola.

Even though bosh nor Amare are known for their defense, they atleast have the explosiveness and length to be potential shotblockers.
