he used to be a pretty good shooter, i know is isnt what he once was,but i hope he gets some kind of shot back...
He was never a "good shooter" from the outside, he worked pretty hard to be adequate enough to keep teams a little honest, that is about it.
No legs = no shot. Don't know if he's got enough gas in the tank for his ability to share the ball not to be more than offset by his defensive inadequacies and poor shooting. TBS, if he could just mentor SF, it would be enough. When I look at backups like B. Jackson in Sac, and Delk and Best here in Dallas, we're in pretty dismal shape. D R
He need some time, after watching Lakers' game last night, you could ask same question to Fox and Fisher, they used to be a good shooter but some injuries prevent them doing that for now. Just give Mark Jackson some time.
Come on! Give the poor guy a break here. If either of you were 116 like MJ, you'd be having trouble with your shot as well...
MJ is not an all-star. Nor is he a top bench player... he's simply a guy who can give Steve a breather, and have the team not completely fall apart (like when Moochie would come in). One thing I noticed last night... our guys were MUCH fresher at the end of the game. Why? Probably had something to do with MJ, AGriff, & Spoon all playing meaningful minutes and giving the starters a much needed rest. That's what bench players do... that's what NBA veterans do. We've been so used to CBA/NBDL/10-day only contract players that we forgot how most of the vets make a living in this league. Coming off the bench, and playing solid basketball.
