Where will former Astro Lance Berkman bat in the Yankees lineup?

Typically the lineup goes like this:

    1. Jeter
    2. Swisher
    3. Texiera
    4. Rodriguez
    5. Cano
    6. Posada
    7. Granderson
    8. Eighth hitter rotates in & out
    9. Gardner

I have to think he'll hit 6th, but if he catches fire, maybe 2nd or 3rd.

He should be taking over for Swisher, so 2nd.

He's batting 2nd tonight. I'm guessing the regular lineup's going to be:

    vs. RHP

    SS - Jeter
    DH- Berkman
    1B - Teixeira
    3B - Rodriguez
    2B - Cano
    C - Posada
    RF - Swisher
    CF - Granderson
    LF - Gardner

    vs. LHP

    SS - Jeter
    RF - Swisher
    1B - Teixeira
    3B - Rodriguez
    2B - Cano
    C - Posada
    DH - Thames
    LF - Kearns
    CF - Gardner

I'm more concerned about what John Sterling homerun call for Berkman will be. Here are a few I have came up with so far.

TO THE PARKING LOT BY SIR-LANCE-A-LOT
HE PITCHED IT TO LANCE AND HE SHOULDN'T HAVE GAVE HIM A CHANCE
FOR ALL THE HARD WORKMEN A HOME RUN BY LANCE BERKMAN

Not worth a new thread....but Lance Berkman has 326 career home runs, 1090 RBI's, 5 All Star Game appearances, 2 Top 3 MVP votes and single handedly carried a rather inept offense to the 05 World Series. What did it take to get him to dominate SportsCenter...an error in a frigging Yankees uniform.

Naturally, NONE of the national announcers bothers to mention Puma is an excellent fielder, because they DON'T KNOW...they are too busy slobbing the Yankees and Red Sox knob to notice what goes on in the NL.

Berkman should be batting 6th in that lineup. He isn't the same.

Jeter should be moved down to the 8th spot. He is not the same.

    Really should be:
    1. Gardner
    2. Swisher
    3. Teixera
    4. Rodriguez
    5. Cano
    6. Berkman
    7. Posada
    8. Jeter
    9. Granderson
