Not one of your better efforts.

    Smeg,

When will you be in town? Are you still interested in heading to Austin for a game?

I'm not sure what I'm doing that weekend as I've got a lot going on towards the end of this month (restarting work, moving apartments, and I think there's a wedding I need to go to at some point) so I'll let you know if I'm around.

hmmm, as for the SB, you probably would want to gravitate away from MSG and the surrounding area as the sports bars around there kind of suck (dive-ish watering holes filled with smelly alkies).

My current favorite "strip" for football season game-watching is now on the East side, along third avenue. There's a 5-7 block stretch of sports-oriented bars with lots of TVs(3rd & Long, Joshua Tree, Mercury Bar, and a few more) starting at around 38th & 3rd and extending down to about 30th or so. Those would be a decent bet.

But actually, decent sports-ish bars with good tvs and the game on should be pretty easy to find in most areas. Steer clear of anything in Times Square and the ESPN zone, and anythng like that - mobbed, expensive tourist traps.
