if he ends up going to phily the only one i'm interested in seeing a rockets uni is igudola don't know if i mispelled his name though..
He could be sent to the Cavs for a second round pick and cap space. That could also potentially mess up the Nets-Magic talks since Cleveland would be reportedly be using their cap space to absorb Kris Humphries in a sign and trade deal. Would they rather have Scola?
Id honestly prefer for him to say. It isnt clear yet that we are rebuilding, we still have kmart and scola. And im sure if morey is able to get dwight howard or bynum he will do it. There's no point in having a team of 10+ kids younger than 23. We will be the new sacramento kings of this league. Every team needs a good balance of new guys and vets. Not to mention scola is the last fan favorite that's still here....
After trading for Nash it seems the Lakers are fully invested in a win now mode with what looks to be a possible 2-3 year window. That type of attitude may make it easier for them to part with Bynum and I think if we offered a package of Martin, Scola and the Mavs 1st rounder that would be enough to get LA to part with Bynum. From LA's perspective, they can feature a starting lineup with Nash, Kobe, Scola and Gasol with whoever at the 3. Martin could be a killer 6th man who would end up playing starter minutes and could save Kobe minutes in the regular season to have him fresh for the playoffs. Also getting the Mavs pick back will be a big help for them rebuilding after the window closes. For us we get our star player while keeping all the guys we recently drafted to find what combination works best with Bynum. Also we keep the Raptors pick which can further help us to get that #2 guy if none of our current guys can't fill that role.
I don't think Lakers management would do the trade. They are so slippery and sly to give almost nothing to get Nash. Would they send Bynam to get two old veterans? Nash, Kobe, Scola, Gasol.. this lineup is a little bit too old and slow!
I think they'd consider it if you added parsons and took on one of their contracts, for example, artest. I think it would a win - win for both teams.
There is a rumour that the Rockets are thinking of giving the amnesty to Scola if they can't trade him.
Really? Idiot Danny Ferry passed on Scola when the Spurs offered him on a silver plater to the Cavs. Ferry just got rid of Joe Johnson to start his rebuild of the Hawks. Ferry wants Scola because...?
They made us "overpay" (anyone remember this?) for him, now they have to overpay for him. Two first rounders, whatever they can get for Blair, Stephen Jackson's expiring contract and the 99 championship trophy. I think they would be a great offensive team with no holes.
