Well might as well blow my bitmetv wad. BigSherv, if you and anyone else want a bitmetv invite, I'm going to need some proof that you know your way around a torrent site. So you'll have to post a screenshot of a torrent site that you belong to, and a ratio of at least 1:1 with a minimum of 5 gigs downloaded. Bitmetv is one of the toughest torrent sites to maintain your ratio, so please only serious seeders need apply. I've got 10 invites. If however you're interested in a tv torrent site that isn't nearly as tough to maintain, I've got some tvtorrents.com invites. I'll hand these out to anybody that wants one. Their invite system is a bit different because I need to donate my download credits, but I've got plenty and it's not hard to build it up. I'll hand out 1gb to start you off, because you can only download if you have positive credits. But it's easy because once you finish your download, your ratio gets credited at 1.5 times what you actually seed. So it's really easy to boost your ratio if you keep your torrents open. Tvtorrents.com is pretty good. The only difference between them and bitmetv is that the initial speeds on new torrents are much better on bitmetv, and the older torrents don't get seeded as long on tvtorrents. But otherwise, if you're not that concerned about watching new stuff the very night it comes out, tvtorrents is excellent. And if you have a big upload pipe, or are very conscientious about uploading, bitmetv is pretty much the best. Speeds are very fast and selection is pretty nice.
I don't have a 1 to 1 in any of mine. They allf loat aroudn the .5 range. I am relatively new this form of file sharing. Can you send me an invite to the other tv torrent site please or if you feel generous to bitmetv. Heck if you want I will send you 5 bucks for a bitmetv invite. shervinj at gmail.com
BigSherv, why don't I send you a tvtorrents.com invite and see if it suits your needs. It's a good site for a person new to torrents, and would be perfectly fine for most people.
I sent out tvtorrent invites to Invisible Fan and BigSherv. Did either of you guys get it, because I'm not sure where it shows whether they were accepted or not.

Hmm. That's interesting, because I'm also the one who gave you the invite to oink, and I'm seeing your stats are like: Strange. Those numbers don't match up with the ones that you posted earlier. Maybe it's possible that you have two oink accounts (which would kind of be a no-no). Digging a little deeper, I noticed: It says here that your stylesheet is light blue, and not lime green like in screenshot that you posted. So not only do you have two accounts, but you also happen to use two different stylesheets. Seems a bit weird. To have two accounts with two different color schemes. And one of the accounts has a bad word in it, which you're kind enough to spare us from. I guess that makes the most sense. Well at least the most sense aside from the fact that you just lifted that screenshot from someone else and tried to pass it off as your own account. I'm not even mad. Go ahead and keep your invite if you want it so badly. But at least do me the courtesy and admit that you tried to pull one over on me.
can anyone tell me a good torrent for new uploaders on oink? i havent gotten over 5 gigs yet for the precise reason i cant get a good upload ratio....
Thanks for the invite and credits m_cable! Chronological X-men Don't download the whole thing or you'll dig yourself deeper. Pick and choose the files. You could probably download 200 megs worth of comics in that torrent and eventually make 10 times the upload return.
I would suggest that you hop onto any recent audio books with leechers on it, even if you don't want it. Those files tend to be pretty large, and if you have a fellow leecher, you'll be able to upload a bit while you're downloading. After that, you just need one or two leechers behind you to get to 1:1 and beyond. I mostly get audiobooks, and rarely end up with downloads less than 1:1. And usually the ratio's much better than that, and only takes a few days to a week at the most to catch up. Good Luck.
