Since a lot of people are scared to say something or are too busy heaping best gm ever on the guy, I just want to know, where is the magic? The praise heaped on morey because he's media savvy and builds this huge bridge of hope did nothing this week. All the talk of being a vulture on teams in economic trouble and trying to use the cash cow money has been a failure so far.

Teams like cavs, magic, and spurs are loading up to dethrone the lakers and the rockets with 2 injured all stars did nothing but gather 2nd rd picks who are lesser prospects than wafer and white. Meanwhile, pop and the I-10 kings got exactly what they and the rox needed. They got a 2 way,29 yr old, slashing wing who get to the line. Anyone from the outside would think the spurs had to at least give up manu. Of course they didn't,they gave up hot garbage. The magic at least gave up a guy with upside in Lee, but raferr and battie are bench players and they got carter.
In short, the rox have limited money availible, yet they have done zero to address the weaknesses they still have.No slashing wing,no backup center, tracy still on the team. I'm don't care about being a popular poster on this board, but what I won't do is kid myself into thinking taking the lakers to 7 games mean squat. I guess on this board morey can do no wrong for some reason. Still a rox fan, but this really sux rright now.

Oh god, and the season starts tomorrow doesn't it....

Honestly shut up. They parlayed nothing & cash into 3 second round picks, which was after they parlayed donte greene & a late first in a weak draft into Ron Artest last year. I know it sounds crazy, but getting something for nothing is actually a pretty decent ROI.

If each poster were an SNL character, leebigez would be the grumpy old man:

I don't think he's had a positive thing to say about anyone on this team.

You should know better than that. Didn't the wasted pick of aaron brooks prove that? Ron Artest was because of last years draft.... I mean give it some time. The moves are far from done. I think the best rule in regards to Morey is to wait till training camp before you start thinking the players on the roster are the players that will remain on the roster. What you can say about Morey's drafts are that so far he's picked some pretty great talent in the second round.

Morey's reputation and the fact that the rocks actually made their scrubs look brilliant this year means that EVERYONE on the rocks is overvalued right now. Morey is in a great position.

your mind cannot comprehend what morey is doing. none of us can, he is at least 8 moves ahead of us. just wait to see what unfolds. hes not going to make a move that sets us back.

You do realize that the offseason isn't over, right? A day after a the Rockets had zero drafts picks in a weak draft, this seems like a premature complaint. I want to know what deals you think the Rockets should have made for that slashing wing.

The Magic gave up too much...mark my words...for Tmac's cousin.

    It's a splash, but i don't know if it's big enough.

People asked the same question after we drafted Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry.
    ENOUGH SAID.

Shaq trade was nice but he would not have liked to come off the bench here so that wasnt happening

Jefferson was a brilliant move but its the Spurs there smart so no suprise there.

Vincesanity??? Really??? He is Tracy with LESS heart! I dont know I would prefer Hedo over VC now!

Only the Spurs got better so just chill..The Artest trade didn't happen till well after the draft last year. Plenty of options still out there no need to worry!

What's so great about getting y guy that will stay overseas and 2 guys that will be in the nbdl? How diid any of the moves improve the rox and thrust them into elite status? If u were betting ur 401k tommorrow, who would be the southwest division winner? Even if manu doesn't come back, the spurs are a better team than the rox. That's why I'm grumpy.

The asked Pop about 2010and he replied that he isn't worried about that,he's trying to win now. When the spurs get guys in and are in win now mode, they give up trash and get those guy or use mle. Finley, barry, mason jr were all had for mle. They just got jefferson for bench players.

Hey, Remember when Shaq got traded to Suns? and Kidd traded to Mavs? If you get a heart attack after every major trade in league, life must be tough huh?

Who said the Rockets were thrust into elite status with these picks? Do you think it was realistic to expect that to happen overnight?

Which bench players would you have given up for Jefferson? I want to see your proposal, and then we can then gauge whether it really makes us better.
