CH hasn't played for couple of games, was he injured? If he played 4Qt in Chiago, would Rockets be lost?
Landry is back, and it looks like the Rockets aren't going to play Hayes unless the bigs are in foul trouble or there is a very good low post player on the other side.
he was injured during the chicago game. plus with landry back he will most likely be out of the rotation when he's healthy.
If we could have made just one shot we probably wouldn't have lost in Chicago, and Hayes ain't the guy to save us when it comes to that.
Unfortunately almost every team we play down the stretch has a dominant offensive power forward. We're going to sorely miss the Chuckwagon's defense if he's injured. Also if we get deep into the playoffs we'll definitely need his defense for the matchups against the awesome offensive power forwards in both conferences.
speaking of guaranteed contracts, i hope the next CBA introduces more partially guaranteed contracts like in the nfl... tired of seeing people play 1 or less than a full season get a big fat contract then start to suck ass...
landry and luis deserve his minutes. honestly, they are playing out of their minds. they should rotate landry, luis, and yao and just keep the 4,5 rotation as is.
He'd better. As much as I love Scola and Landry, we need the Chuckwagon for at least a good solid 20 minutes on Boozer.
IMHO, Coach is trying to work the chemistry on his main 8 man rotation for the playoffs. Brent Barry and Chuck are both "break glass in case of emergency" players. Unless we meet up with someone like Portland in the playoffs and Carl is struggling defensively, don't expect Chuck to play. (Or Yao gets in really early foul trouble because of moronic refs.)
Hayes can contain Carlos Boozer, David West, and LaMarcus Aldridge. If we play any of these teams in the playoffs, he should play at least 15+ minutes a game.
Hayes' only purpose now is to defend power forward/center who are quicker than Yao and Scola, but much bigger than Landry.
