We didn't sign him to play but for marketing only.

In Morey's interview yesterday, he talked about Francis. Here's what he said:

"With Steve, he's been struggling with his injury. It's really gone much slower than we anticipated, so this week we had our doctors looking at him against this week again. We'll see what that shows. With Steve, that knee injury is really, really bothering him. We knew there was a high likelihood chance of injury with Steve, but we felt that his talent level really made that investment worth it . It's disappointing that that injury has really limited him so much this year."

Between injuries and the passing of time, what makes his biggest supporters confident that he can contribute even a fraction of the amount he used to? Should we bench Brooks or Alston?

I guess fandom is the opposite of rationality.

Having said that, GO FRANCHISE! WOOOOOOOO!

Hoping he can come back and make a contribution but thinking more likely he will require surgery and require a year off. Maybe then he'll come back in a Baron Davis-like resurgence from the dead.

    FRANCHISE II THE SEQUAL! MUAHAHAHA

he's only thirty years old and thats usually the prime of a NBA players career. He still has a ton of atheticism and talent. i dont kno how tenditis can ruin a man's career but the injury realy did bother him in New York. I guess all he can do is rest it even though I do think thats all he did all offseason. He has shown he can contribute to this team and I still think he brings more to the table than Skip. He was an upper tier player in the leugue just three years ago. All I can say is get the knee healed and get in shape.

I was at the game and he was at the game too. He was by the tunnel where the players enter and exit from. He was doing a lot of interaction with fans. I want him to get healthy and help the team in the 2nd half of the season as well.
