He is not even on the bench in the last few games. The initial reason was that he has a sore knee. Its probably a very sore knee
This guy last played on January 8
Usually players take a few games off when they are sore like kmart missed 2 games bcuz of a sore wrist.

Doesn't it feel like Miller isnt even on the team anymore.

Is a trade coming bcuz maybe the rockets decided to take a different direction? Maybe.

But it doesnt necessarily mean he is getting traded but havent even heard anyone mention him for a while.

    Healing slowly but surely

Rockets reserve center Brad Miller accompanied the team on its four-game road trip, but he does not expect to return from his sore left knee in time to play before the Rockets return home Feb. 5. Miller has missed the Rockets' past 11 games.
"It's better than it was last week," said the 34-year-old Miller.
"That's the important part. There is improvement. That is all you can ask with this old age of mine."[/rquoter]

Thanks Man. This may be a blessing in disguise since the young guys like patterson earn more minutes.

I'm tired of Adelman trying to turn this into the Houston Kings. Like JVG did with the Houston Knicks. No more old ex King players.

OP, thx for asking- wondered about it too.

I think the Rockets miss Brad Miller a lot. The second unit is struggling big time without him. Their offense basically ran through him.

Couldn't agree more. Miller did absolute wonders for Hills game.

couldn't agree more man. I think the rockets need a tough coach like greg popavich who always gets the best out of his players and strongly corrects their mistakes. But there arent many out there tht are like that. i like avery johnson...im pretty sure t-will does too

    I dont miss Miller.

Over 30 minutes and not one rebound against the Bulls. I will never evver forget(or forgive) that as Rockets fans.

It is the nature of being a head coach in sports. They are presented with the task of trying to assimilate players into their unique ideology and, while they won't jettison a superstar talent to do so in most cases, they will do their best to surround their younger players with veterans that have learned and likely succeeded under their tenure. It is their way of acquiring not only chemistry on court, but a de facto extension of their own coaching philosophy within the team. Whether you like it or not, that is what happens in almost every case...assuming their are available players that have played for them in the past. Phil Jackson did it with Ron Harper, JVG did with Strickland, etc.

The only other way you will not deal with retread players is to bring in an inexperienced (or really, really old) coach. Of course, the challenge then is getting proven players to buy into a coach with a limited - or outdated - resume.

I actually think that Brad would draw some interest around the league before the trade deadline. He can still play and help teams out. In all likelihood we'd be in full rebuilding mode by this time next year and we don't need Miller for that. Maybe we can even squeeze out a pick or two for him.

I hate this too. Why are coaches always so one-dimensional? They can only play one sinlge style, one idea, one philosophy and the players have to be in that exact mould only. Otheriwse no matter how talented they are they will rott on a bench.

There are many ways to win a ball game and a championship. The proof of it is every 2nd or 3rd year a different coach wins it with a different ideology and approach. No one style of ball has won it every single damn year. So why are coaches no narrow in their view, approach, mindset or style?

I want a coach who can work with whats given, who can adapt, who can improvise. A coach that is able to combine and the wisdoms and strenghts of all the succcesfull plays and styles. Some who can alter, adapt, improvise accoring to the teams strengths and oppsotion weaknesses. A coach who can utlise anyoine that is usefull, instead of coaches who will only play guys suited to that coaches limited approach and style.

I know, I know such coaches dont grow on trees and are rare to find and harder to acquire. Most of all I dont think such a coach exists. They are all lmited to their narrow dogmas. W@nkers.

Pat would still get PT if Brad was back... Hill has been shifted one spot further down the bench.

was a nice addition to the team, but not when he's sitting out for the majority of the games. at least it's vet min contract, right?

Brad Miller is just collecting a check he sucks. If you gave me $1 for how many three point plays he gives up I know I'll have enough money to buy courtside seats at a Rockets game.
