Other -- NPR, NYTimes, BBC.co.uk, NewsHour With Jim Lehrer and the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Occasionally, when I feel too calm and hopeful about the future, I switch over to FOXNews for a dose of high-volume war graphics and in-your-face confrontation. Within five minutes I'm as jittery as a lemur. Works every time.
A week late??? Doh!!! j/k Actually, I depend on KTRH 740 for up to date news and I like to read my weekly issue of Time for in debth analysis and breakdown of current issues (although I am thinking of switching subscriptions as Time seems to ....ummmmmm ....leftish for my taste). Anyone have a subscription to Newsweek? How is it?
I read foreign newssites in international matters because the American media would sell its soul to get the rights dig in the garbage of Elizabeth's Smarts kidnappers to see what 15 minute exclusive they can manufacture and trump over their competitors. Such credibility shouldn't be given in matters of war. I still watch the news on TV, but only with great loathing...
I asked this question in the O'Reily thread and nobody answered, so I'm placing it here with hopes that I can get some feedback.
Oski, two things. 1. I really agree with that post. CNN doesn't seem liberal to me or you, cause we're liberal. It may seem different to those more conservative. Same for Fox and conservatives. 2. You've been on a huge roll the last few days.
Thanks. I think it's obvious that I am making a bid for Poster of the Year 2003. With Ref employed, he's been too busy to defend his title. Ooops, as I post this, it sounds like bombs are dropping on Iraq. Looks like the CIA thinks they located some Iraqi leadership (a target of oppurtunity), so Bush gave the order to launch cruise missles on them. Hopefully, this destabalizes Iraq and ends this quicker.
Everywhere, so I voted other. It officially just started, fyi. Since it's happening, good luck to our people. Take names and kick ass.
I'm watching CBS right now, Dan Rathar is the man. He's called this first strike a calling card and Bush's good morning to Baghdad. He also was well aware that it was a cruise missle strike before others, like Shep Smith at fox. The veteran is still punking the rookies.
LOL. Hey, I sat through most of that show. I was more impressed with the food at the rodeo. 1/2 pound burger with grilled onions, mmmmm, chopped bbq, sliced bbq sandwiches. Funnel(heartattack) cake was good too. Wish I had tried one of those big cinnimon rolls instead though. Crap, all this food talk reminds me how much I hate school food.
