Usually when I buy parachute pants I go to.....wha?

If someone knows the answer to that question without doing some digging that'll make my day.

I'm not sure Value Village is the place. They really don't focus on kitsch that parachute pants are certainly part of. Instead, they seem to take whatever they can get, mostly your uncle's old dress shirts.

Are you confusing parachute pants from '84 and genie pants from '90?

do you have a link to where i could buy them, i might have to resort to shelling out more money if those are the only legit pants available.

If its only a 1 one time thing, maybe see if they're returnable somehow? Or cheat the system and make up an excuse why you had to return them. Unless you WANT to keep them around.

And yes, "original" parachute pants were a bit different and sleeker than the Hammer style shammockery of cruddiness he conjured up. Also the video, gotta like how they wear either outright baggy pants or tight spandex biker shorts. No in-between pant for that production

    Check Turbo and Ozone :D

Really, just find a seamstress, get a pattern or tell them what you're looking for and they will sew them up cheaper than dirt. After that, they'll call all their old ass friends and laugh all day.

    This thread is awesome.

Anyway, I concur that Hammer didn't wear parachute pants. I don't ever remember seeing those pants in stores ...even at the time ...because even then they were ridiculous. That said weight lifting pants were very close. Check out Gold's Gym or something. I'd be at the gym and see some massive dudes wearing these stupid looking pants that looked like Hammer. haha.

If you can't squat 1000 lb, then maybe those pants would give you that certain Hammeresque motif you so desire. ;)

    Oh, one last thing.

This thread is useless without pictures (of you in those pants).
