Trying to see where got the best deal: discount tire, NTB, firestone, Walmart?? i noticed charges after the prices of a set of 4 tires ranges anywhere from 60 bucks to almost 200, what the hell??
I got to this place that is about a 30 minute drive from my hometown called CC Burgess Tire in Tuckerman, Arkansas. People come from out of state to buy tires from that place because they really cannot be beat. Probably doesn't help you though.
Discount tire. Free lifetime rotation. Always have given me good service, which is surprising considering they deal with cars.
discount is the best when it comes to relatively inexpensive tires. Pay the little extra and get the road hazard, free lifetime balancing and repair. They train their guys much better than alot of the other places claiming to get you in a set of tires cheap. (I used to work in garages so I know when the guys are doing it right, and they always do) Ive used them since I started driving in 83
River Oaks Goodyear (near Weslayan on Westheimer Rd). GREAT SERVICE. Even though it's in THAT area of town, prices are cheaper most of the times, but even if they're not, I wouldn't change to another place because their service is better.
Avoid NTB on Westheimer in between Gessner/Fondren. I ended up having to get brake service because those grease monkeys overtorqued my lug nuts when they installed new tires.
Discount Tire for sure. The free rotations and balancing on the tires is pretty good. And if your tires bust or something, they'll do a prorated trade in for a new tire, which is better than nothing...
Do you care if the tires are brand new or used? By used I mean the tires have about 95% tread on them still. Bellaire between Synott and hwy 6 is filled with these shops. They sell one used tire for about $25 to $35 depending on how good the tire is. You can also always bargain with them, too.
If I need tires, I wait for a sale on tires anywhere and see if I can get Discount Tire to match it. I usually look for good tires based upon reviews on tirerack.com. They have pretty decent prices on there at times, too. You can go here : http://www.discounttire.com But try going here and see if you have the B&M Discount Tire store match their "direct" prices : http://www.discounttiredirect.com. Every so often you'll see $70 off a set of tires or $100 off coupons floating around as well, so keep an eye out for those.
Discount Tire. Lifetime balance and rotation, their warranty is incredibly affordable, and they'll match any local price. I would shop around and get a set of quotes, and then go to Discount and have them match the price if it's lower.
Why is everyone saying Discount Tire? They clearly don't have their tires on "discount" because there expensive as hell. Just go to any place near South Main and either Fondron or Gessner. They vary from 35-60 bucks, but you can bargain with them.
Doesn't matter to me if I'm not getting the cheapest tire ...they're service rocks, they're always nice, free rotation and balancing and the certs...man the certs have saved me hundreds of dollars in the past year or two alone.
tires-easy.com You'll definitely find cheap tires here compared to discount tire. But what I do is find the tire I want and then if you goto the discount tire website and paste the link of the cheaper tire price, they'll call you the next day and tell you that they will match the price. Plus you can add the warranty and get the same service you expect from discount tire. You'll end up saving more money.
