Dermarr Johnson Playing Time Aright alot of people say dermarr johnson will eat into mobley's minutes. lets see how other people's PT will be affected Definite Roster People mobley- will want to play the same minutes the rockets could work this with a little maneuvering. cato- needs to start and love it dream- needs to play about 10 min max per game. Francis- needs to play about 38 min per game. Moochie- needs to cut his minutes by about 5 min, shouldnt really be called upon too often SA- plays same minutes bullard- should only play 7 min max per game. he should come in early to give us some 3s, play during garbage time, or be on the floor when we ABSOLUTELY need a 3. yes i still think the bull will be with us kenny thomas- probably doesnt effect him too much Dont know what future holds for these guys: pig miller- only if som1s injured should he play bryce- likely gone anyways carlos- will have decrease his mintutes even more. Walt- would have to decrease his mintues some the 1st season then alot in the future IF we draft dermarr i see him playing 20-25 min a game the 1st season and gradually increasing for the next 2 seasons until his 3rd year where he can start or even next year when walts a free agent. i hope walt sticks around the 1st year to sort of tutor dermarr. when walt becomes a free agent if he wants to resign i say resign him for a lower contract and have him be a bench guy of maybe 15-20 min and let dermarr have the majority of the minutes in his 3rd season. in dermarr's first couple of seasons he probably shouldnt be on the floor at the end of the game unless he happens to be hot or someone's injured. the problem i see is that we will be loaded with guards. as much as i would hate to get rid of walt after next year we might have too. that way dermarr can start the 3, SA the 2, and mobes resume his 6th man role. to draft dermarr i would have to say we would have to hear from him he wants to play SF. we simply cant draft him unless he wants to be a small forward, we dont need another shooting guard which is obvious. he MUST bulk up and get stronger and add moves to his slashing game. a post up game would be nice too. i certainly dont want him to play a matt bullard role and stand around all day. if we drafted dermarr he and shandon anderson probably shouldnt be on the floor at the same time. cant have 4 guards, that will make us a liablity on offense. one of the 4 should be out. actually dermarr could play some point forward when steve goes out.
