This might be gross to you,so caution. I havent done research yet,so forgive me. The other day I had left over soymilk in my bowl(about 2 tablespoons) after eating cereal and I put it in the sink and I think it had a little tapwater in it,and then about 3 days later I was putting dirty dishes into the dishwasher and notice a ton of white crawling maggots that had eaten the soymilk and were all in the bowl but not other bowls. This has never happened to me ever in 30 years, but now it has and I have no idea why. I also noticed for the first time, that my unopened garlic bulb,I unpeeled it to get to a clove, and one of the cloves was dark and rotted and had crawling maggots in it,but the others were fine. So my question is,are the maggots simply larve already in the garlic and soymilk, and then grow after time when exposed to air ? Or is it from my tapwater being mixed with the soymilk?? Or is it from literally flies or roaches at night(I have a roach problem but not a fly problem) laying eggs and the eggs turn to maggots? I was going to do a experiment and leave some soymilk out again and see what happens, but if any of you can answer my questions that will save me alot of trouble.Thanks.
A fly layed the eggs in your milk. I can't remember who it was, but I think there is some famous scientist who tested this exact same thing to find out where the maggots come from. EDIT: Here's what I was talking about, maybe this will answer your question. http://galileo.imss.firenze.it/multi/redi/eopere.html
