I was just curius as to where you all think Bryce Drew, as he is now not as he was coming out of school, would go in the draft roughly. Is he as good or better than a lot of the better point guards coming out like Cleaves, Penn, or Barckley? What I’m really getting at is do you guys think there are any teams out there who would trade a draft pick that could select a solid three like a Shane Battier or a Mike Miller for Bryce Drew? I think this would be a good situation for the Rockets, because it would allow the Rockets to draft a solid four with their pick who could provide some offense in the post and clean the defensive boards – maybe a guy like Etan Thomas or Jerome Moiso, while still bolstering the small forward position with a solid small forward draft pick big enough to guard the bigger small forwards, who runs the floor well enough to not slow down the fast break, and who can hit the open shot. Also, by getting a later draft pick for the three position, Rudy won’t have as much pressure to give him minutes that might go to Shandon to keep both Shandon and Mobley happy sharing the shooting guard minutes. Just interested in what y’all’s opinions are.

There's no point in picking Thomas or Moiso with our pick ( say number 7 ) - they'll go late first round or early second - if we get Phillies pick it'd be worth using that to grab one of those guys- personally I LIKE Etan Thomas, he tries hard and is a good shot blocker and rebounder and has good size ( but limited offense ! ) - I think we should definitely grab Peterson with our 7 pick, wasn't he 6th man of the year in college in his junior year ? He doesn't mind coming off the bench or playing less minutes and he always looks to improve himself, PLUS most importantly he's a great defender ( so we can sit Mobley down more and go with a stronger defensive unit ! ).
If we're gonna trade Drew we might as well send Kenny Thomas too and see if we can get a higher pick and grab Kenyon Martin !!
