My uncles is in town from Guatemala for some architect convention or something and he's looking to buy a Macbook. Anybody know where the best deals on these can be had? I'm thinking Fry's, but I haven't bought a Mac ever so I don't know.
i think macs are all have consistent prices. kind of like ipods. if you want you could look at their refurbs on the official apple site. they come with apple's warranty which i think should be pretty good. or if you know anyone in college, they have access to discounts. like $200 off from macbook pros and $100 off regular macbooks.
The Apple store with your student ID. They give a 20% discount and free Ipod Nano. How can you beat that!?
Holy sh**! In another thread I recommended someone to wait until this week to start shopping. The summer sale starts tomorrow. One rumor is that they are offering a free 8gb iPod touch w/ purchase (on top of the price discount) of a computer! This would be the biggest freebie yet...usually the free item is valued around $170 or something. This is for students w/ proof of ID.
Lol I was just going to bump my thread as well. Where can I find info on the Summer Sale? I can't seem to find it on apple.com Appreciate your help
I just saw that today, it looks like you have to buy the iPod at the time of purchase and then send in a rebate form to get your money back on it. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...campaigns/back_to_school&sf=wHF2F2PHCCCX72KDY
