and let him know we are fed up with his mediocre job as an owner. I wish like hell owners would have a feedback forum that they read from the fans.
Too many saps will always show up to the games though. Not enough fans actually give a damn like the ones on here.
After we lose to the Jets just take a look at the seats during the Titans game. The cash flow will be shut down.
those empty seats are already paid for, there is a waiting list for season tickets this is a football town
At a stable with his horsies? The guy probably gives a damn more about horse racing than do whatever it takes to win. I hate the I love our sports teams too much.
I can only hope this happens. It's sad when it has to come to rooting for fans not to show up to the games but McNair won't get the message otherwise.
Doesn't matter with TV contracts alone all the expenses are close to covered. Everything else is gravy.
Exactly. The only place where people won't "show up" for losing teams in this era are going to be cities that probably shouldn't have a team in the first place: 1. Jacksonville 2. Oakland 3. Tennessee People already stopped coming to the first two. Hickville will eventually have a run of horrible teams too. But all other cities are going to have enough "saps" (or loyal fans) to support them week in and out, in the "NFL is the most popular league in the world/fantasy football" era.
And millions of people in NFL caliber cities will support them. The only thing that may change that if there's a work stoppage for some time... I can see a lot of fans being turned off from that if the team is bad.
You're saying people that go to the games are saps, and the people that don't are the true fans? WTF kind of logic is that?
People that blindly support the team despite McNairs awful job as an owner... yeah? I'm not saying you can't be a fan and come to the games. I'm saying it's bad when a majority of the fans will keep coming anyway regardless of the product we're putting on the field. Lot of fans simply don't want to put forth the effort of speaking with their wallets.
I'm talking about the fact that NFL games will be sold out in big-time NFL cities, no matter how bad the team.... in this day and age. Houston currently fits in that category.
