aussies and the bar at showplace lanes are good places. showplace lane's bar has 3 giant projection screens and like 15 other tvs
If north, Fast Eddies off I-35 near Round Rock or if on the other side of the river, The Warehouse usually has them. Texas Sports Palace inside the Showplace Lanes bowling joint pretty much ALWAYS has the Rockets games but their new management isn't that great...
Funny, I called Aussies a week into the season and they told me they weren't getting League Pass. I like Aussies though. I watch most games at the Warehouse Saloon on Ben White at 35. There's always several Rockets fans there, and surprisingly the last gane against the Spurs we were the majority. That was a fun night. Cheap beer, huge place and the waitresses that aren't hot are extremely good. The good looking ones are slow, annoying and b**** when you run a tab on a card (apparently they split tips with bartenders on tabs????). The manager there seems to be happy with Rockets customers. He personally came over and put Charles Barkley's ass-kissing ceremnony on a wide screen after the bartender told me he couldn't change 1 of the 20 TVs to Barkley's lame show. I bowl at Showplace on Sunday nights and I watched the first game against the Lakers there, but that bar seems to attract a lot of jerks and I seem to get annoyed evertime I'm there. And it's not as cheap as you might think it would be. If Aussies has league pass it would be the better place by far. But I'm more likely to stick to the Saloon because it's so inexpensive. I don't have cable because I don't watch a lot of TV so that cost, not the League Pass price is the reason I don't have it, but going out on most game nights does get expensive.
also try the Fox and Hound downtown where the old Waterloo Brewing Co. used to be. (4th and guadelupe) they have all the games and its a fairly nice place.
