We are having a school supply drive at my office and since I do not have any kids, I have no idea where to buy lots of supplies for the lowest price. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try to buy quality stuff. Those kids that get the handouts have nothing and it needs to last.

I remember when I was a kid and had to color with the cheapo walgreens crayons when others had crayola. My art always looked like crap.

But other than that, I'm sure Walmart is cheap. Just stay away from office supply stores and you'll be fine.

I would check big lots. They have a lot of stuff really inexpensively priced.

You want to make a poor kid extremely happy?

By them the 120 count assortment of crayola crayons.

When my church had a school supply drive, we actually took the kids shopping to Wal-mart. It was like I bought the kids a box of puppies. They threw all their other stuff into big bags, but kept those large crayon boxes close at hand just in case some coloring broke out.

Isn't it tax-free weekend this coming weekend? That would be a good time to take advantage of it.
