I would still rather have Carter over him, his defense really hasn't been anything special though. His shooting has been great tonight, but I can't see the same about his defense, Vince has 30 right now i believe?
Maybe, just maybe the players know something we don't (like McGrady is done this year and no trades will happen) and everyone got together and realized they all need to carry the burden. I'm sure it will make all these guys more comfortable in their roles knowing that the team that is on the court tonight is the team they will be going to war with for the rest of the season.

WHA?? I thought pointless stats like points, rebounds and assists dont matter to battier lovers. You should be looking at the inverse cosine derivative of +/- adjusted for the Morley sabermetrics with a little jvg money factor for good measure.
Really this 1 game is too small a sample size for you to put out a thread calling out Battier haters. His horrible games far outnumber his scant number of decent games this year.
why does any sort of criticism=hater? i mean, he was playing like ****, so we call him out for playing like that, it's not that we hate him, we know what he's capable of, and there's a certain amount of frustration that he hasn't regained form while being back forever now. and still it's only one game...hopefully this is a turning point....we're a much better team when battier/alston are knocking down shots... but yea i guess me for criticizing his poor play = me being a hater...w/e
still here. he's SUPPOSED to make those open shots consistently. they're WIDE OPEN. and carter went off for 30 pts in 33 minutes.
he was coming back from INJURY, that's why it's called hate. He was back from the injury, but he didn't train for basketball when he took his last time off, he was only doing rehab, as in no shooting, dribbling, etc. This past month was his training camp all over again, even with this pointed out people still hated. Now he's starting to show he's back in game shape, expect his good play to be a lot more consistent from now on.
