I've been trying to avoid the playoff TV coverage, but I can't completely tune it out. I still see the newspaper at the grocery store, and I accidentally catch news on the internet. I can't remember being tormented quite like this before. When I read that Kwame Brown tossed Diaw on the floor, I have to admit, I would really have loved for that to be Yao or Swift (not the Swift we know) doing the tossing of that tap dancing wanker.

I can't watch any playoff games. It hurts too much. And I can't even root for teams. I spend all my slight attention to these playoffs on rooting for certain teams to fail. Yes I'm miserable, and a miserable human being.

had we found a way to make the playoffs this season we would've been in the 8th seed. i'd rather have the 8th pick than get beaten in the first round by the spurs.

You are not alone. That's been the story of my existence since the playoffs started.

this is kinda late but, people that don't want to see the rockets tank the last few games must be on some other mental wavelength. We have to think about the long term effects. Possibly a 6th pick over an 8th would give us a much better chance than some meaningless games at the end of a season.

Ditto. Waiting for the summer games and the next season to start... woo hoo. Hopefully we'll have a healthy TMac and Yao all season next year, and maybe add some more consistent talent around them.

It's actually less painful to watch the playoffs this year than last year. As Rockets' season was all but dead l-o-n-g time ago, the misery has faded considerably.

I feel good when the Spurs and Mavericks win, pissed when the Lakers do. What the hell happened to the Suns? Don't tell me "they don't have Amare", they didnt have him all year and were still the #2 seed! They're playing like pansies and The Evil One just got another unneeded ego boost with his game winning shot.

    Other.

We were robbed vs DAL last season and it was hard to watch. This seasons' freakish injuries illuminated that (outside of Yao and TMac) we have a talent deficit vs the leagues' elites. I'm just watching the playoffs noting what other teams do in transition and what matchups they use in half court.

I just wish we could fast forward to training camp. This summers' posting trends are likely to be a lot tougher to deal with than watching the playoffs.

My only emotional investment is wanting the Pistons to lose. Otherwise the playoffs have been great. Except for the weakfish Grizzlies, it's nice to see the lower seeds tormenting the higher seeds.

I'm rather enjoying the collapse of the Heat. And the Suns. I even enjoyed the Pistons getting spanked and the Spurs lose a game.

I don't like the Lakers, so I enjoy seeing them so I can see them lose, but they broke my heart

I have mixed feelings about LA winning. I actually want them to beat the Suns because, frankly, I don't like the direction the Suns are pushing the league. Not just because basketball is traditionally a big man's game and we have the most dominant big man in the game (which is a good enough reason), but I feel like there really isn't much substance there. The Suns have a fantastic regular season record because they play such a dinstictive style. Teams aren't used to playing that style so the Suns collect a lot of wins due to that single fact. When they get into the playoffs, someone will ALWAYS be able to prepare and play excellent offense AND defense and beat them. At the same time, they really increase the value of youth over experience in the league, when there isn't anything inherently good about that. Unless you are David Stern and want that hollow "fireworks" appeal.

Anyway, hopefully the Suns go down in flames and the Lakers soon follow.

Go Clippers, out of the Spurs/Mavs series and the Clips/Lakers series the only western conf team I could root for is the Clippers vs Detroit.

If the LA Clippers don't go to the finals than I will be a huge Detroit fan.

agree wi th the last 2 posts. go lakers first round. enjoying that. not sure why there's so much hate for the lakers..they're overachieving, they're fun, and kobe has been playing team-oriented ball for about 4-6 weeks.

go clippers all the way... (actually i might cheer for the kings or lakers over the pistons also, just for the upset) But the rest of the west can go down in flames.

East, I like Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee (who's going nowhere of course)...not particularly a fan of Cleveland, Washington, Indiana, NJ.. and I kinda dislike Miami

I find myself ......... cheering for the Lakers. And their home games are fun to watch cause they got so many hot broads in the stands. Rooting for other underdogs is fun too e.g. Bulls, Kings, Bucks, seeing the Clippers in the playoffs with Mobley and Cassell playing well is great. Overall its a fun playoff except I still HATE the MAVS and Grizzlies are the sorriest undeserving team to make the playoffs EVAAAR!!!
