Thunders was a good time to see what he can do, no? They are a fast team and quite a few times they took advantage of us in the transition.

    Not even garbage time??

Or is he just not doing good in practice?

C'mon Rick, Yao could use at least another minute sitting down.

Yao was NEEDED in there. The Thunder always had a 7 footer out there, and our next tallest was who, the unathletic 6-9 Scola?

More importantly, when will we see the last of Alston?

By your logic, Yao will have to play all 48 minutes all season long. There was absolutely no reason for Yao to be in the game for most of the 4th quarter. Rick is pretty terrible at managing minutes.

Did you watch the game??? Or is math not your strong point?

They had a 7'0" guy play 28 minutes. Then they have 3 6'10" guys playing. 28 minutes....28 F'ing minutes and Yao played 39, 11 more minutes. He should have only played when Petro was on the court.

Coach says it is due to
Tmac and Battier not being able to play much or none at all. Thats BS. We should have only needed Yao when Petro was out and let Yao rest the rest. Lets see what Dorsey can do. Give Scola and Landry more minutes during that time frame.

You talk about playing the non-athletic Scola. Compare to who on the Thunder even if you point was true. You act like Wilcox and Collision are so much high flying sprinting better then Scola which is just a fools case (you and RA).

He's probably just not ready for game time action right now

You'll see Dorsey in garbage time when the Rockets blow out weak teams.

As soon as he can make a FT and learn how to play defense.

If Dorsey can prove himself in practice, he'll see minutes towards mid season as we saw with landry last year

Read again: When the Rockets blow out weak teams. If the regulars play down to the competition and the score is close, Dorsey will warm the bench like tonight.

I don't think Coach is confident with Dorsey yet. Big lead can evaporate fast unless we are leading in double digit in the last 10 s. A 15 pts lead can be gone within 2 min. Wish Deke is here to play some mins.

Give him time. He was over hyped over the summer and I never understood why. He is a project at best which is all you get that late in the draft. There was never a realistic chance that he would crack the rotation when the Rockets are already super deep at PF. He can't score and being a defensive specialist as a rookie doesn't do you much good if Chuck Hayes is already on the team.

I wonder how many 13 year old fans are sitting at home frustrated that Dorsey isn't the first guy off the bench based on his sick youtube clips. Doesn't Adelman log onto the interwebs????

Morey said Dorsey wasn't expected to play much this year. I see no reason to have not believed him.

Dorsey biggest problems are post defense and fouls. A. Brooks wasn't ready last year and now look at him.

It was the other way around. Morey said Dorsey was supposed to be an immediate impact while Greene a development.

Morey said that right after the draft. Since then he has stated on multiple occasions that Dorsey likely won't see much playing time this year. It is very likely that when the dleague games start Dorsey will spend a bit of time down there.

Unless there are injuries. Then he may get some pt.
