I'm so sick of the rain. I'm sure the people who are seriously affected by it are even more sick of it.

Couldn't agree more. Constant rain like this is depressing as hell. I wish we could get just a few hours of sunlight.

I cant wait for this weekend. High upper 50s low in the 40s, I like cold weather. It has been raining in Houston for 10 straight days, I cant take it anymore! The bayou by my house is really high, hope it doesnt rain anymore. I-10 and the tollway is underwater too.

That's funny, because it hasn't rained here in the Seattle area for weeks!

(ZRB prepares for the long, cold, wet winter)

seriously, every damn day i walk out of my apartment there is water all over the ground (but never within the first 2 feet of the door, somehow it has always rained long enough ago to dry) and it sucks. however, i am a proponent of over cast days, i love those. no sun in my eyes, no sun making me hot, i love it. 40s/50s this weekend?!! for real. sweet, i love cold weather. i may actually get to wear some long-sleeved shirts for once.

I love this kind of weather! It's been raining since Yao Ming showed up. Maybe his new nickname should be the rainmaker.

Agree 100% about 40-50 degree weather and wearing long sleeved shirts, and long pants...

I've worn sandals, kakki shorts, and short sleeve shirts for like 8 straight months.

When will it rain??? Melbourne's first water restrictions in 20 years are starting on Friday. With Summer fast approaching, it's going to be one hell of a long and hot Summer.

If anyone has a raft feel free to come by my street (in Beaumont)... this is ridiculous. Water over the curb, everything is flooded... all in about the span of an hour and a half.

By some miracle, though, my power never went out, even with some pretty insane lightning during the storm. What's funny is that I didn't even realize it was raining that hard. Since it's been doing this for over a week now, I didn't think too much of it, until I decided to look out the window and see a lake in what used to be my street.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the same boat...except for the action part. Unemployment sucks. I've been waiting for 6 months to post an I found a job thread...still waiting.

i found two jobs this week. i didn't post b/c i didn't want to make others feel bad. thats why i haven't been on the BBS much.

of course both jobs are contract based.

One is with ESPN.com as the Spurs fantasy basketball beat writer (lasts through the 2002-2003 season)

the other is a 1 month contract job designing web pages for a company that outsources prescription drug web design contracts.

i've been getting paid really nicely and working 9-10 hours a day at home! i get to watch tv/listen to the radio while designing web pages... man i haven't felt this useful for 9.5 months!

I can finally buy NBA league pass! woo hoo!

but i'll be back in the jobless boat soon when my contract expires. :(

now, as for the weather... its impossible to run in cold and/or rainy weather, so i LOVE hot sunny days!

Well, ya see...when you walk outside and you don't feel little drops of water falling on you, that's a good sign that it has stopped raining...

    Sunshine, beautiful sunshine!!! :D

The water hasn't dried up yet, or I'd be outside playing basketball when I'm supposed to be in school.
