well i was watching some vids on youtube when the Rockets won thier 1st and 2nd title and it just felt so great watching that again.and watching the celtics win last night thats all i thought about was clutch city dont know why but i was i jut want the rockets to ge that 3rd title watching KG,Ray,and Pual get that title last night i just want T-mac and Yao to get to feel that experience that and the rockets deserve it tell me when do you guys we'll get Clutch City 3
It will more than likely not be until either Yao and/or Mcgrady are no longer associated with the Rockets organization.
2008-9....next year baby. Healthy Yao and Tmac, probably add another scorer off the bench in the off season and Scola. Brooks and Landry all getting another year better. It is OUR time now ! DD
Not saying Yao/Tracy and company can't do it, but I'm not exactly holding my breath anymore. The saddest thing about it? I think the only thing holding us back from a deep playoff run and possibly a title, is health.
IMO, health is indeed the most important issue. We can probably avoid health problems with that 3rd scorer we've been looking for. Compare Pierce's minutes to KG and Ray Allen's. If we get that 3rd scorer, Yao and T-Mac can have more rest time and also play more sharp when they are on the floor.
Yes, current roster with healthy Yao&TMac is good enough for a very deep run in playoff. If add another boardline all star such as Ron/M miller, Rockets can dominate the league with around 65 wins.
22 years after 1995 championship = 2017. Yao will finally win a title, after developing a finger wag in his Deke-type role off the bench.
Hell yeah DaDa - thats the spirit. once we get past the first round, who knows how far we can go? really excited to see what Morey has in store this offseason. No matter what it is, I am sure the Wizard will have us in great shape come opening night. from there I believe in coach, and I believe in the Great Wall. Hope springs eternal.
Doesn't that kinda contradict clutch? I dunno, I think we need a solid definition of clutch. I thought Clutch is perseverance through adversity, I thought it's coming back from behind, i thought it's battling against the nonbelievers, fighting through injury and still winning. I really see Tmac as a "clutch" player, but Yao just gets injured. Clutch would be us winning without Yao. It doesn't mean it's less meaningful to have a winning season with Yao, it just means that outside of Tmac this team is clutchless. I do agree though that I am being overly semantic, and that if we had a healthy team we would win. However, I don't think this team can win with injury and I don't think this team can stay off injury for multiple reasons.
No speculation..everyone just please shutup...for us diehard fans its extremely painful to watch the rox get knocked out in the 1st round every year. Instead of a championship our first goal should be the 2nd round..you know..like taking small steps at a time
couldve been this year if we had yao. i'd put my money on next season or the one after. longer than that and the rockets will move tmac and rebuild around yao again.
