The title said it all, when will we get to see Posey in a Rocket uniform, and kicking butt too welcome to H-Town Posey! I am hoping he plays againt the Hawks tomorrow.
That would be pretty good. He arrived today and greeted his "old" and familiar friends. And Kenny Thomas said farewell. Kenny is supposed to play with the 76ers tomorrow so I guess Posey will be ready. Jim Jackson, the huge guard, signed with the Kings on the day against the Rockets and played too. ...Go Rockets!
He should be ready, as he plays with several rockets during the offseason, and Rudy stated on 610 that he seemed to catch on to what he was told fairly quickly.
Can't wait to see how he does tomorrow. And if he has a sorta bad game, don't any of ya'll start getting on his case or calling this trade a horrible trade... I mean, you gotta give it time. But mostly, ppl seem to be satisfied with this trade. Go Posey! Welcome aboard.
Yea, he should be ready, its not like he has an offense to learn!!!! 1 on 1 basketball is petty easy!
Did you even watch yesterdays game? Nearly ever one that played had at least one assist. The isolation days are fading(except for the rare late in the shot clock plays). Speak of the offense, what style is this? It's been kind of hard for me to define. The movement without the ball seems kind of slight, but deliberate.
Rudy mentioned tonight that the whole scheme is still really evolving as they see what works best with the guys they have. He said they still have not installed the high post options for Yao. I thought he also gave an excellent explanation of how difficult it is to get the ball into the post. If you watch any game, you'll see that the Rockets run a lot of misdirection and motion just to set up the guy who will feed the post and also give Yao some screens to get him in there. Rudy mentioned that one of the plays they used to run with Hakeem screening across the lane just didn't work with Yao and they had to go a different route. I don't think we'll see the full development of the offensive system even before the end of the season. As the players learn their roles and the coaching staff learns the tendencies and skills of their players, the offense will change.
