When was the last time all 3 Texas teams were not in the top 8?

The Rockets, Spurs, and Mavs are all outside of the top 8. The Spurs are still a solid team with Poppovich running the helm, and the Mavs have a promising young prospect in Doncic.

With Dirk, Duncan, Manu, Yao, and Parker all retired this may be the first season where all three Texas teams either do not make the playoffs OR advance at all in the playoffs.

And just 4 yrs ago (our first WCF year), all 5 SW teams made the playoffs. And 4 made it 3yrs ago.

The Rockets and the Pelicans were supposed to be the top teams in the division. Instead, they are the bottom two teams, albeit by only half a game.

Sure but the Grizz cannot be there every season.
