VC be back?? Or is he missing the playoffs too? I'm surprised Toronto isn't tanking if they won't have VC in the playoffs, but hey its good for us. I can't wait to see Hakeem in post season once more..

I actually don't think Toronto will beat Indiana. I think Indiana's schedule is slightly easier these last games, enough to pull ahead of Toronto.

If Toronto can't beat Indiana then they might be able to pass Milwaukee. The Raps only trail Milwaukee by one game. The Bucks have been struggling and have a tough remaining schedule:

Philly, at Cleveland, at Indiana, Charlotte, Toronto, at Detroit.

There's a chance he could be back for the second round if the Raptors make it that far. According to Peter Vecsey, however, it looks like Toronto won't even put him on the playoff roster.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Rockets had the Raptors' heart?

I wonder if the Raptors would be open to trading Vince since they seem to be playing so well without him.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Raps traded Vince to GS for Antawn Jamison? :D

If GS offered Twan and their #1 (if sub 4) or say Twan + Arenas plus their #1 (say it ends up or 4 or 5) for Vince and their #1 pick (if they don't make the playoffs like #13, or the Seattle pick if they do and perhaps taking Arenas out of the equation) I could see it making sense for both teams. But GS would then have to admitt they blew it initially in taking Twan over VC.

What about Franchise for VC basically strait up (with cap fillers)? Both guys' values have gone down from last year. I don't think I would do it because VC seems to be much of the root of the Rapters dissapointing season (they probably were the most talented and balanced EC team starting the season), but it sure would make things interesting to think about given Franchise's odd year and uncertainties with those migranes.

Not to derail this thread, but how about Steve to Toronto, Carter and #14 pick to Memphis, Memphis picks Ming and sends Ming over to us with Battier. :D

Toronto will never ever trade Vince. We've beat all sub .500 teams but Philly and people think we are better. Forget about it, Vince is our only good player, the rest of them are great role players stepping up right now.

Carter said before the game vs. the Hornets today that it's highly doubtful he'll return for any of the playoffs.

"I've accepted the fact I can't play," said Carter, who is on crutches. "I'm not worried about coming back, I'm worried about walking."

    *ducking*

Moochie, Griffin and Toronto keeps their own draft pick for Carter in Houston

3 way Antonio Davis, Davis to the Hornets, Elden to Portland, Bonzi to Tornoto

    Houston takes Gooden no 5

    Ming
    Williams
    Wagner
    Woods
    Gooden

It may not make us a better team, but at least we'd get some butts in the stands

I will repeat this once again:

THE RAPTORS WILL NOT TRADE VINCE!

Let's trade the only good player who's wanted to stay in Toronto. Yeah that will bode well for the future of the franchise.

Yeah let's rush him back like Jordan did! Oh wait, who's having a 2nd surgery ? Oh yeah I remember

Here is a nice quote to use too:

"Emotionally it was tough (having people question him) but I can take it. I was ready and willing to take everyone's best blow but I'm going to make them eat those words. They love you when you're up and hate you when you're down."

He hasn't proven he can win or lead his team anywhere but to early exits in the playoffs.

So, how is he going to make them eat those words? We'll see.

Early exits is what the TWolves do, Vince led the Raptors to a series win over the Knicks and then average over 31 ppg in the Sixers series and 1 shot from winning that one.

If thats what judges a player anyways, why is everyone sucking TMac's and Pierce's nuts when TMac has one only 1 playoff game and Pierce hasn't even made the playoffs.

Has Vince ever led his team anywhere but to an early exit? No. He has been at this level for several years now with nothing to show for it. McGrady and Pierce are just now coming into their own and have better leadership qualities than Vince and are flat out better players than VC. Given time in the playoffs - and a supporting cast of roleplayers like Toronto has, which is slightly above Boston's and far above Orlando's - both players will prove themselves.

And in many minds, they have already.
