I believe that Rafer will maintain his current position as starting point, but everyone knows the value of Sura as a contributor. Will he usurp DW as the two?

IMO, after his legs are under him, he will capture the two spot given his ability to penetrate and hit the three, not to mention his rebounding.

I think Sura will be too much of a liability defensively with most of the SG's in the league taller and quicker than him. I think Sura, if he gets back, will be a great 6th man getting most of his minutes at PG, with some time at SG.

Sura will play over Head most likely.

Does anyone really think Sura will start over Rafer or Wesley anytime soon, if ever, this season? I doubt it.

The notion that somehow the fortunes of this franchise will rise and fall with someone like Bob Sura is incredible. Sure ,he is gutsy and has heart etc etc- I dont see a starting role for Bobby.

Despite all the criticisms of David Wesley- if he stays he starts at 2. His defense on players that are lot bigger than he is, is really not appreciated in general.

Sura backs up alston or wesley and head backs up wesley or alston. JVG will start with alston and DW and go with whomever is playing best that night in the 4th quarter.

Sura has been out a loooong time so I doubt he'll see heavy minutes when he comes back but his heart and fire will be appreciated even from the bench.

sura is a f@#king stud. if he comes back to a level similar to last season he better be starting. he gives us 90% of what this team is missing, toughness, and he's capable enough of running the point. the only question is how healthy is he?

Sura is not a pure PG. Alston is a better passer.
Sura can't be a SG either. Almost all the guards in our team are better shooters than he.
He is good rebounder. And, we have Hayes.
But he would be a good bench.
I think Wesley is better and better. His penetration is a surprise this season.

Sura will start because he has a lot more fire in his gut than Wesley, and we need that fire to begin the game. However, if he becomes an offensive or defensive liability, we'll go back to Wesley pretty quickly (we don't have a lot of time or a lot of games to give Sura any recovery time).

No doubt. If Sura is back and healthy, there's no question he'll be playing a lot of minutes. He brings the fire this team needs.

I think its gonna be a rotating guard spot, Sura gonna come off the bench for a while and push head down the bench. He and Alston are gonna battle it out for the PG spot and i think matchups will dictate alot.

alston is a better true PG and wesley is a better shooter.

i think sura would be nice as the first guard (pg of sg) off the bench, giving the team a little energy boost.

Sura shot 42.7% last year, Wesley is shooting just 40.6%. Sura's high percentage nights happened to appear on games where we needed them (look at the game log) while I can only recall 1 game where Wesley was the difference maker.

I don't think he's coming back. People have been saying this all year and it never happens.

sura is 6-5, he's not that much smaller than other 2's in this league. and if he's not quick enough to guard 2's he certainly can't guard a point. last year he and wesley tended to flip roles on defense anyway.

The Rockets general manager says otherwise.

Your right - I do not appreciate D Wesley trying to defend taller, quicker guards. We get smoked by New Orleans or Chicago-he cannot keep up. He physically cannot defend these guys. He is an old liablity in the back court.

I do see Sura starting if he is 90%, but in rreality - he is probably done-I wish he could play- what heart!
