Police and fire officials say the man's private parts were ripped off after the harness wrapped around them broke. Sergeant Earl Smith from the Columbus Police Department says all the details of the accident are not clear yet: "apparently it involved some sort of act of bondage that involved body parts being tied up. ... in the midst of some sort of act of gratification there was an accident that caused traumatic amputation." Sergeant Smith says the accident has left him stunned: "it's absolutely ... even after 25 years of being around here ... this one is beyond my ability to even begin to comprehend ... a long time ago I quit saying 'I heard it all' because I've discovered I never have."
