Hopefully Ime just keeps this rolling with Amen in the starting lineup and have Jabari come off the bench.

Jabari is our starting 4, maybe for the next decade.

    agree

by the time Jabari comes back question should not be "is Amen going to the bench?" but "is Dillon going to the bench?"

For the past couple of weeks, the offense has been better thanks to Jalen playing better. But the defense has fallen off a cliff. I think Jabari will reclaim his starting spot when he's healthy.

Honestly think Dillon himself would benefit from coming off the bench and playing fewer minutes. He probably wouldn't see it that way, because that's the type of competitor he is, but the heavy minutes and spending so much time guarding the first/second option on the opposing team clearly wears him down and affects both his shooting and his defense.

Dillon is awesome but in smaller doses and we have way too much talent for him to be starting.

23 to 28 mins per night is the sweet spot

Also it’s apparent, we desperately miss Jabari’s size and defense

I think our best lineup is FVV / Green / Amen / Smith / Sengun. Eason and Brooks off the bench could absolutely wreck havoc. No idea what Ime will do. I just don't think Amen should ever go back to the bench.

I’m glad there are posters on CF who know ball. Future is bright for CFs

Since Bari went down, Amen has basically averaged 40 minutes a game. Maybe I’m wrong, but I just can’t see Ime putting him back on the bench.

Jabari was getting some nice run too before he got hurt.

I think we need to have the long talk with DB.

The smart thing would be to ease Jabari back into things. I’m okay if he wants to start him on limited minutes but there’s no way Amen can go to the bench.

Put Brooks as your 6 man and let it roll.

Brooks probably won’t be happy and if that’s the case… trade season just got a lot more interesting.

This was the first game where we truly missed Jabari. Sengun pick and roll defense was horrible and never or rarely contested the open shot.

he's not gonna start right away. I can see him push brooks to the bench but it would b quite wild if Amen is the one forced back the bench

Dillon has exceeded all expectations. However, that being said, he shouldn't guarding guys like Jaren Jackson. Jabari is the perfect small ball center.

They're not bringing Dillon Brooks off the bench...more than anything, he'll be traded with the emergence of Amen...Jabari will have to work his way back in the starting lineup.

I don’t think it makes sense to trade Dillon Brooks just because Amen is playing well.

it makes more sense to bring him off the bench. Dillon brings tremendous value at 20 mil a year against the cap. Who would we realistically bet in a trade for Brooks without attaching 1st round draft picks.

you might be right about Jabari easing his way back into the starting lineup but there is a reason our defense has dipped with Bari out.

people are seriously underestimating how much Jabari means to this team defensively and as a shooter

Personally I think we should play him off the bench first few games and get more data to decide. I don't think Amen will ever come off the bench for the rest of his career so we'll need to figure it out. There's a chance Bari starts some games, but come playoffs Brooks is starting again. Brooks has rightfully been a starter for most of his career and does so many underrated things that don't show up on a stat sheet, but so does FVV. Rockets have a great problem to have.
