I saw Rockets-Lakers game in person. I have to say the reason Rockets SUCK is because that they really don't have a good coach. Of cause people like Jeff will always find excuses for Rudy's ineptitute, but, the truth is that Rockets sucking so bad, even with Francis is that their GM and Coach have been doing a BAD BAD job for the last 4 years. Look where teams like Dallas or Sacramento are now. Houston will never improve until Rudy quits his job!

You know, it took awhile, but I think I figured it out. Caveman is actually Don Cheaney, and he's hoping for another shot at the Rockets' head coaching gig.

Umm.. How Long did it take Dallas and Sacramento to build their franchises into good teams? Over a decade? And how many championships have those two teams won recently? Two? Didn't think so.

Rudy was improving the team last year, they had the best record ever to not make the NBA Playoffs. There's no reason to believe that improvement wouldn't have continued this year if all the players were healthy.

It only took new coaches for both of these teams.

I'm with you caveman. I've made it no secret about what I feel about Rudy T's coaching ability. He has been either unable or unwilling to change with the times of the league. If Rudy can't implement a better system by next year to accomodate league style of play, and the team still continues to play in the same manner and fail to reach the playoffs again, get rid of him. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that it will take Rudy quiting in order for him to leave. The organization probably won't have the balls to fire him.

    I can't believe I am agreeing with a lowly "Member." ;)

    I agree.

You naysayers get your asses out of your recliners and win some games with the ragtag injured squad we have.

There's a reason Rudy is head coach, and you are in here, b****ing about coaching. :p

How? The last time I tried to argue the merits of his coaching based on what happens on the floor, I was told by someone that I was just kissing his ass. Huh? It is impossible to defend your point of view with someone who has no concept of what logical debate is.

In this case, I had no interest in discussing anything yet I was held up as an example of stupid arguments and excuses. I'd prefer to be left out of it.

With two championships, I'm will to give the big drunk another chance. :) Hopefully with a few less injury games, next year will be better.

As the originator of the Rudy T. sucks thread, I wholeheartedly agree with anyone who wants to get rid of his sorry ass. Enough is enough. I know that the Rockets have had a lot of injuries, but how many years should injuries excuse the half-hearted way that the team is playing and is coached? I agree with Clutch that the team should stop winning so we can get a better lottery pick, and I agree that the Rockets should get rid of Rudy T. And I'll go outside and duke it out with anyone who believes that Rudy T. had anything to do with the Rockets winning two championships.
