I'm glad to hear that. Mo was expected back soon but I hadn't heard anything about A.Griffin.Pike unfortunately may take sometime to get fit because high ankle sprains are hard to treat.
We will miss his shooting ability.

they also mentioned that Pike will be out till mid-Nov at the earliest.
we will just have to do without him for a little longer..

I'm a little bit surprised that Walt Williams hasn't been signed yet as a free agent. He is inconsistant but if no one picks him I wouldn't mind signing him to a 10 day contract and then see if we need him for a longer period.
With Yao around he might get a few looks from the outside.
I wouldn't have brought this up if Pike was fit but our outside shooting is looking bad right now.

You're kidding right? Our roster is full now anyways, I thought we can't sign any one unless we drop someone.

I wrote this on the presumption that Eddie Griffin might be cut from the team. Walt is inconsistant and can't play defense but he still might be able to make a few outside shots coming off the bench like he did in the playoffs with Dallas.

we need help at PF. Signing Walt wouldn't help us there.

Yes but Cato is doing better than expected and hopefully Mo can get back to full fitness. I wouldn't mind having Braggs on the IR list but what other choices do we have?

10 day contracts can't be signed until February.

I wouldn't expect MO to play in the first game without at least getting some practice time in.

    January, not February, my bad:

A 10-day contract is just that, a player contract which lasts ten days (or three games, whichever comes later). These contracts are used to replace players who are on injured reserve. A team may sign a player to two 10-day contracts in one season (they may or may not be consecutive). After the second 10-day contract, the team can only retain the player by signing him for the remainder of the season.

Ten-day contracts are available to be used starting January 5 (or the first business day thereafter) each season.

Pig Miller was on a non-guaranteed contract, so he was simply waived.

If Bill and Calvin are correct, he will get 4 days of practice.

they(Mo and AGriff) have been at the practice sessions rehabbing/listening in and sitting with the team at the games...so it's not like they are not at least somewhat familiar with what VG is doing.

and 4 days (Mon-thurs) of actual practice with the team should at least get them prepared enough to play limited minutes at the opener.

Just saw the local ABC news and it seems like Motay practised with the team without the cast/wrap around his shoulder. So it is safe to say that he has had at least one practise with the team and will continue likewise. So based on that, he should see some action come Thursday against Denver.
