Collier has been injured for a long time. He has not played since November 22, 2000. I thought he was supposed to be out for four weeks. Does anyone here have an update on Collier's injury? The Rockets really need him now. He can be our starting center until Olajuwon is not injured anymore. Remember when Cato was injured and how Collier proved that he can be a solid backup center for Olajuwon. Collier grab rebounds, hustle for loose balls and spread the floor with his great outside shooting touch when Cato was injured. Collier had good games like when he scored 10 points in 13 minutes, 10 points in 16 minutes and 12 points in 21 minutes. Just imagine Collier with extended playing time. His point total would increase dramatically. With 30-35 minutes I can see Collier getting 20 points per game. If Collier was not injured now he would be playing at least 40 minutes. In those games where Collier would get those heafty minutes I can see him getting at least 30 points. When opposing teams double team our guards on their penetrations Collier would make the easy three-pointer. This would cause trouble for the other team because if our guards are not double teamed they would get to the hoop for the easy shot. If they are double team they can easily pass to Collier for the three-pointer. I also like Collier's game because he brings opposing big men out to the three point line which makes it easier for our guards to get to the hoop with no big man to block their shot. The centers in the NBA that Collier's game resembles are Vlade Divac, Arvvdas Sabonis and Sam Perkins.

Thought I heard on the broadcast against the Wolves that he was only days from returning, but I could be wrong.

Lisa Malosky interviewed Collier at the half time of the recent Sonics home game. My memory is a little rusty, but I recall that he stated that the surgery was very successful, but added someting about having additional stitches which weren't required but would be beneficial in the long run. Unfortunately, the added stitches needed more time to heal.

Jason did not give a specific time table, but did mention that he was cleared for light practices within the week (this week).

You can see Collier getting 20 per?

I like Collier, but that is silly. Only one center in the league averages 20 or more ppg.

That would make Collier an all-star.

He could definitley help us out right now, but lets not get carried away!

Anyone else notice that Mango's signature is eight lines longer than his post? [IMG]
