****, I would wish Wafer gets back in the starting line up, with Shane Battier coming off the bench along with Artest. Too bad Wafer's defense is still below average, otherwise we could make such a switch.
you answered your own question? anyway probably wont take the starting spot because the game flows better with him in the 2nd unit
I'm with the OP on this one. I'm tired of believing that there is chemistry better with Battier on the starting line up and such. It's not like Artest doesn't play a good majority of time with Tmac and Yao anyways. If we want to be a championship contender, we need to start forming the chemistry with a solid starting lineup. While we're at it, Rafer again, proves himself to be an inconsistent and incapable scorer. I don't usually like to bash but the guy is too much of an offensive liability to this team. And we need that to close out close games. Not to mention, that shouldn't be the stats of a starter day in and day out anyways. In my opinion, Rafer should come off the bench as well.
Battier has lost a step defensively, but is still in the upper echelon of perimeter defenders. This has greatly hurt his offensive game. Shane, already a step slower than most players, is now another step slower, making him an easy guy to defend. Before he was Bruce Bowen, but with some semblance of an offensive game. Now, he's a carbon copy of Bowen.
I think Artest would be very useful for the playoffs. I trust him on Kobe more than I trust any defender in the league. Now Battier, if we could trade him for a solid pg...
HE ONLY SHOT 4 SHOTS!!..............at least he realizes he's not shooting well and limits his attempts so someone who IS making them will take them..i sure wish someone else would take the same approach... and artest isn't likely to start for reasons already stated.
Ill make you a bet.....if Artest replaces Battier in the starting lineup permanently, I will leave this forum.
