I just activated Facebook Timeline, and realized I already joined in September 2005. I guess this would make me an early adopter. That was a month before they even had photos on Facebook. Spoiler
Yes, there has been a mass exodus from facebook lately because people are realizing it's a complete waste of one's time and energy.
2007... I wanted it earlier but it wasn't available to Canadians yet. I was one of the first people in my social circle to have an account. Still love FB... great place to connect with friends and family members.
More importantly, I canceled Facebook about four months ago. It all revolves around approval-seeking behavior. What ever happened to quiet reflection?
2005. Senior year in high school. Back then it was a cool thing to have Facebook because only college students could have it and if you had it as a high schooler, it meant you got into college early and already had an e-mail set up with the college.

I guess it was around 2008. I still have my account but I hardly ever post anything. Really, I just use it to see pictures of my coworkers in revealing clothing and situations. Amazing the pics women post thinking it's okay because only their "friends" can see them. LOL.
It was a long time ago when you could only make an account with a valid .edu address. Maybe in 04, 05. Baylor was one of the first schools to get it, which was mentioned in The Social Network.
