I was just thinking about Mobley´s comment after the loss to Denver when he said: "We knew we weren't going to the playoffs, this just makes it for sure". There was still hope but he said they knew they weren´t going to make it. When do you think they gave up hope? ------------------
I believe Horry was the one that threw (in) the towel. Players didn't give up. They lost by a single damn point. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
They gave up after the most recent Phoenix loss. They didn't bring the same intensity after that. ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. Which was more valuable for our offseason? The draft pick or the playoff experience? Tough call, but if Shandon gets signed and traded, if Cato finds a suitor, etc., if Webber comes to Houston, then we'll have some answers as to why certain players didn't play and sat out for "migraines" and why Mooch, Steve and Cat were on the floor at the same time with Bullard at center and Los picking his toenails on the bench, and so on and on... ------------------
