When the corner 3, the defense, the little jump hook are gone, what do you exactly have in Battier? A scrub that hustles and can make a decent entry pass into Yao? This very much reminds me of how Ryan Bowen became completely useless for the Rockets that year, except Battier actually plays heavy minutes. How long can you keep him on the court when he is giving you close to nothing.
I know what you are talking about. When I looked at Bogans... I was thinking... Bogans is better than Battier now. And we had Bogans for a while too.
I hope you're right. I am a big Battier fan, but I still wonder why he is starting. If nothing else it must be embarrassing for the man to be 1-5 every game as a starter.. then you consider that Barry is a downgraded version of him.... I never thought I'd say this but......... Head minutes?
I saw Battier shake his head at his performance when he left the court. If his ankle is bothering him tell coach that your not helping the team and go on the inactive list. This game was a wake up call, Worrell/Bullard and Eshfielder are saying the Rox have serious problems, the Chron writers should be next ripping the team. Adelman wake up, shake up this lineup. Play Barry/Wafer and Artest for 25 to 35 minutes apiece.

For those of you still using the foot injury as an excuse, stop deluding yourselves. He had a routine procedure done in May 2008. It doesn't take that long to heal from minor foot surgery. What you are witnessing is the rapid decline of a basketball player with little skills and hardly any athleticism. It's very sad and unfortunate for the Rockets. Maybe Portland will still give us Outlaw and fillers for our new version of Ryan Bowen and maybe the Israelis and Palestinians will have a peace deal done by the trade deadline too.
It's an injury. Battier is not 100%, I don't think anybody on the Rockets is 100% except Scola. Which is sad, because Yao Ming is still a top 10 player even though he is not a 100%.
