New uniform, new arena, new coach, winning record, on top of the NBA, and still no excitement in Houston. Why is that?
Already had two (I think) sell outs. If you are talking about Miami last night, what did you expect? They're terrible.
Even for those that were there, it sure seemed like the most quiet arena I've heard. Just seems like people think they are going to the theater or something. Get up and make some freakin noise for once!
I think we'll sellout almost every game that has been include in the mini-packages i.e. Steve francis 12 pack, Yao Ming Big Man 6 pack, etc.
NWO I have to agree with you.. I"m so sick of the houston fan base not supporting the rockets... Shoot if I had the money I would buy seats for me and my friends and we would be yelling from the top of our lungs.. Unfortunatley.. Low income doesnt cut it ..... But if anybody would be willing to donate some tickets to me and my friends I'm all ears..
They should lower the price a little so the younger crowd can have fun. Another reason was because the Rox let them down before. And our 5-1 record hasn't actually been the big news around the NBA either.
No kidding. I spent almost 200 bucks when my wife and I went to the opener. I'm not spending that much for the Heat. --rhad
You have to be kidding shawn786. Last night's game was terrible. Why would you expect someone to pay their hard earned money to watch a crap team like the Miami Heat when they can watch the game for free on television?
Because all of the great, good, or decent seats have been sold as season tickets to businesses. Those businesses give the tickets to clients. Result: the people in those seats are a bunch of businessmen shaking hands and talking about work, not a bunch of die-hard, yelling, screaming Rockets fans. I came to this realization when I went to one of the preseason games. I had free tickets from the law firm I work for (usually gives them to clients, but had a few extra for the preseason game), and I was surrounded by businessmen, not fans. I blame the Rockets organization for pricing out the true fan, and gearing the ticket sales toward businesses. They don't care if it's quiet. They don't care if the seat is empty. They only care about selling the ticket. -- droxford
It doesn't matter...Most people aren't going to spend money on the Rockets when they can spend it on the Texans. Since Rockets games and Texans games are both expensive, people are going to choose the Texans. Houston has, is, and always will be a football town...
There's 27 other teams in the NBA with BBS's... maybe you can go there. Anyway... Took my two young girls and sat in the nosebleeds. After a while, we went down to the 100's and found good seats. Ushers don't mind if you just don't make a big fuss of it, and they allow you to go if you're with younger audiences whom they know will make plenty of noise. We were under the YAO BigHead crowd, and I am ashamed that they are louder than the rest of the crowd. My girls and I had fun being there, though, and they said "DE-FENSE!" everytime the announcer asked for it. We're not afraid to show that we're homers, even when we're 0-8 at the beginning of the game just like last night. I think the tickets cost an arm and a leg, but with millions of people in H-town, we're bound to have saved enough to buy the cheapest tickets. You can't have the best seats all the time, unless you are rich. I do agree with the game on a Wednesday night won't draw crowds, and I was willing to take my kids even though it was a school night. We're watching the Rocket Game live. Who cares what time it is?
Well i can see where your coming from they are a realllly crappy team but i just expected more i guess maybe im wrong. We will have to see later on in the season
