I'm headed to the Sonics/Rockets preseason game this evening, and, even though it's preseason, it's got me thinking about what the rest of you guys do before a game. For me it's mostly listening to a lot of upbeat music, and especially watching all the Rockets videos that I've collected over the years, mainly from posters on this site. I always arrive to the game at least an hour early and go down and watch the guys warm up...and I used to have the pregame ritual of Malibu Chicken at Sizzler, though I can't for the life of me figure out why now. Anyways, what do you guys do?
I put on some jeans and a white T, then just throw on as much Rockets gear as I can will listen to some hype music. I like to listen to the track by The Game off of Doctor's Advocate called Too Much because he mentions T-Mac or the Yao Ming song while getting dressed. What I find is a great tool to take to games is an extra jersey if you have one that you can twirl and hold up while the Rockets score. Always fun!
i usually run around the house while playing Rage AGainst the Machine really loudly, screaming pro-Rockets obscenities then i tire out, and am in a low on the way to the game...but as i get closer and closer to TC my body gets all pumped
get comfy in front of my comp, have milk and snacks ready and the game day thread open. That's about it
Like any all basketball games, I avoid tuning in more than 5 minutes before tipoff because I hate pre-game shows.
i always text my friend "go yao!" and he typically responds, "go head!" when i was in houston and watching at home, i would then proceed to pace back and forth in front of my tv as the game played now, i just sit in front of yahoo game channel
I listen to that techno starting lineup song the rockets used to have..by FAR THE BEST STARTING lineup song the rockets ever had.Im glad there using it again before tipoff. Clutch if u can tell the rockets to play that song more it would be great!
