As a former teacher, I'm a sucker for a good inspirational movie about the teaching profession. Which is your favorite? If other, please specifiy. Hope I didn't leave out any obvious choices....
I've honestly only seen one of those movies, that being Dead Poets Society. However, being much more of a math-type person than a poetry-type person, I had to vote for Stand and Deliver.
On the list: Dead Poets Society Off the list: Summer School Shoop - Francis Gremp? Chainsaw - Don't ever call me that, the name's "Chainsaw". Shoop - As in "Black and Decker"? Chainsaw - As in "Texas Massacre".
Good Lord. That movie was not good. If you listen carefully, there is a point in the movie where you can distinctly hear Mark Harmon's career screeching to a halt. I went with Mr. Holland's Opus.
On list - Dead Poets Society Off list - Good Will Hunting I liked GWH better than DPS but not by much. Stand And Deliver and Lean On Me were both pretty good movies too.
id put a vote in for Lean on me and a vote for Stand and Deliver. both pretty cool movies. and dont forget... The Principal!
I just saw one today with Morgan Freeman in it, but I didn't catch the title. (It was on tv). I picked Emperor's Club. I haven't seen Dead Poet's Society or Mr. Holland's Opus. Yeah, Stand and Deliver was also a good one, although it was based on a true story, and it was found that the students had cheated.
