I started this thread to see what most of us are wearing.... I buy mostly Adidas shoes and a little of Swiss. I just think they have the best combination of comfort and looks. I think Reboks are ugly....I used to buy Nikes but I just hate to support a company that exploits children around the world and pay them .25ct hrly wages, they're the worst offender of this. I also wear... -Dr.Martin for outdoor activities -Lugs if I wanna look pimped out. -Towns and Craft-for dress up thats about it.
I've lately found myself really liking Steve Madden. Now, they aren't athletic shoes, but damn they look cool. As for the others, I've always like Reebok. I have high arches and they have the best arch support.
Addidas Sandals -- fishermen type sandals. My father calls them my Jersualem Cruisers! But, unfortunately, I end up spending most of my time in dressy shoes. Waiting for the day I can go to court in cargo pants and an untucked, unironed button down!
New Balance I used to run and play sports with Nike and Reeobok, and I always ended up with blisters and sore knees. With New Balance, that crap doesn't happen.
I like the sketchers beatle boots, but more in the winter or on rainy days. I'll also wear oxfords and loafers. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit, but the sketchers seem to usually work. They're a pretty good balance of price/function/look. Foley's always has an item on "sale". If I were the type to spend my money on my shoes, I'd probably buy Kenneth Cole. Eh. I'll spend that money on fun. I just get whatever's cheap for athletic shoes. I don't care. Target Spalding or "Pro Spirit" is fine. They're only on for the game or the workout. Actually, the pro spirit are pretty good. Good enough for $ 15.00.
great point. could happen. i imagine that if i ever get arrested, i would likely be wearing something like that.
You know, I can't stand traditional dress shoes. They are just so boring. Even when I meet with clients, I wear some hybrid of a dress shoe and a casual shoe. I have these Kenneth Cole's that look like a lace up dress shoe masquerading as a bowling shoe and some others that look like dress shoes mixed with sneakers. They are so versatile because you can wear them with jeans or slacks or whatever. For some reason, I like shoes. I'm a freak. I should mention that I don't buy any leather shoes, so that usually limits my purchases to about 20 percent of what is actually available. The good thing is that they are infinitely cheaper and some of the high end designers like Kenneth Cole have entire lines dedicated to non-leather shoes, which is great.
Dress/dressy casual shoes.....Nunn Bush. For some reason they feel more comfortable (insert YoYao joke here) than others. I like the way Stacy Adams shoes look but they are just too tight on my feet. Running/Athletic - New Balance Cowboy boots - Lucchese, Tony Lama
