When we talk now about Rockets' problems attributing to we don't have chemistry, big three are not under their optimum condition.
Assume our lineup hadn't changed so much, and Battier is all right.and we don't have Artest yet.can we play much better than now or even last season?I'm happy to hear your opinion.

if we didn't have artest, even with the addition of barry, i project the rockets to fall in the 2nd round of the playoffs. the ceiling isn't as high as it is without artest. although the 'big 3' is performing as well as we envisioned, talent does matter in the nba and the more we have the better it is for us.

let's not forget we won 55 games last year with yao and tmac in and out of the lineup. we won 22 games in a row, a feat not even the amazing bulls of the 90s accomplished. we did better than the dominant celtics of the 80s. we did it with a pedestrian lineup. the reason was team chemistry, sometimes an undervalued feature of a team. luckily, we're one of the top teams in that department.

there's nothing wrong with this team. as rockets fans let's remember the season is a marathon not a sprint. and as rudy t said, "never underestimate the heart of a champion".

There's nothing wrong with our lineup, it's adelman's brain that has something wrong. I've no idea why this veteran coach hadn't play dorsey yet till now. We don't have plenty of big guy who can erect a barrier around the paint, and dorsey is just such a guy who can at least grab some rebounds. I'm glad to see yao made a double double last night. It's especially precious for yao to grab ten+ rebounds as his rivals were camby and kaman, who are famous for rebounding. We have developed our rebounding play as last night's game showed, but is there still any space for us to improve?

As we all know, neither kaman nor camby is gifted for offense but kaman still got 20+10. Yao played a big game but he really sucked when his jersey got wet with his sweat. Yao need a backup who will enable to have some rest time to wipe his sweat out. I hate it when our rosters' jerseys get wet because they really look bad when getting wet. Further, I expect our alternative jersey whose main color is black.

What exactly is wrong with our lineup? I mean, we're not 6-0 but we very easily could be. We blew the Celtics game, it was very winnable, and the Rockets just couldn't get it together and eek out a victory-but the way the Rockets were able to keep it close indicates to me that they can play competitive basketball with the best team in the NBA.

And as for that ridiculous loss in Portland... well, that was just bad luck. Sometimes a game just doesn't go your way; fortunately the NBA season is long and 4-2 is a pretty decent start, all things considered.

That said, our offense could be a little better, and I don't think our team has really hit its full stride. I think around the all star break the Rockets are gonna kick it into overdrive and make a strong push into the playoffs as a top 4 seed. Shane Battier will be back soon, which will help quite a bit (making our defense that much more unstoppable-possibly best in the league good), and our team will continue to become more and more cohesive as a unit.

With all the depth and talent we have this year, I think it's just a matter of time before this team is looking like the West's other big contender (along with LA). That's not to say our team isn't playing good now, I think it is, but I also think as time passes the game plan will flow smoother and the Rockets will look better and better.

It's Western Confernce finals or bust this year everyone!

feel sry to say that our lineups overrated. we r pretty close to 99-00 indiana pacers linup, 1 superstar tmac as r.miller, 1 all star player artest as j.rose and a borderline all star C yaoming as rik smits. maybe we expect too much:(

Lose to celtics is acceptable, and we lose to Portland is just bad luck,Roy can do such shot what can we blame, blame Tmac's last defence on Roy?of course not, that game, what we saw is not real Yao and real Ron,our big 3 only left 1.And what I want to say is we should not take results too much, and the processes are more important, with battier's absence, our defence is weak,at least not intrepid enough

You are right,we do not have big guy, especially when Yao is not on the floor,Adelman shall give Dorsey some time, maybe someone will say he have no expercnce, but if get no time prove himself, how could he get experenced. We also remember last season vs Timberwoles at home,in garbage time Adelman use Landry, who now play pretty well.Maybe we can find Dorsey is another guy like Landry.

rofl u ever watched NBA? rik smits has better def and rebound skillz than yao, and also same good shootin skillz as yao. YAO IS OVERRATED FFS. and yes they are at same lvl. jalen rose is a good scorer and at 99-00 season he was teh 1st offence option for pacers. remember that yao neverh passed 1st rd, and artest only made once while rik smits and j.rose at least got in teh final.

The Rockets are fine- They need to improve. This is a good thing because they are not even close to hitting their stride yet they can win Games.

T-mac though does not run the offense, it is a motion offense that is full of screens an pick n- rolls. The princilple of it it is that the defense can not figure out who is going to get the shot. T-mac does not move without the ball -intentionally because he wants to dictate where he takes his shots from. If he ran the offense appropiately others would get easier shots and later in the game he could take advantage of his match-up with limited double-teaming.

Just look at how the Spurs are doing... or the Heat after their championship. Teams that stay the same more often than not get left out in the league. Artest will make this team better but how much better remains to be seen.
