I have a 2007 GS 350 and IIRC, I have had to bring the car in for 3 items to be replaced on recall. Not minor stuff either. Does anyone know the story of what's going on. Should I be concerned about my car long term? I think there's a quite a few car guys around here so I'd appreciate the comments.
Lexus fell out of the top spot in JD Power's vehicle dependability study this past go-round (which I believe reflects the dependability of cars from 3 years ago). I think that's like the first time in the past 8-10 years they haven't been #1.
I think Porsche and Infiniti passed them up in the latest rankings, but they were still number 3. I wouldn't worry about it. Just be glad that you own a car that the company cares enough to put out recalls rather than just letting them break. Also, as long as you get the work done properly, I see no reason it would affect the overall value of the car.
